Only the 2nd year of this rivalry & there is definitely no love lost between these two programs. Many of the Broncos would have attended Bryan Station up until Douglass was opened so there are a lot of feelings that will be hitting the field tonight in Lexington.

Beating Dunbar shouldn't be a problem for them. Dunbar is the worst team in the city by a lot.

There are teams in 6A with a win that I would rank below Bryan Station.

I honestly feel sorry for Jtown in this game. Trinity by whatever they want to score.

I'm six in one hand, a half dozen in the other on this decision honestly. Having been an assistant coach in a semi-state best 2 out of 3 series to reach the state tournament I don't have an issue with it being this way, the only drawback is that the losing team doesn't get that "We made the state tournament feeling that they would have received if they had played at Whitaker Bank ballpark or wherever it is hosted later on down the road. Playing at a neutral site high school field just doesn't have the same feeling of accomplishment that I would think a Regional winner deserves..... even if they get bounced in the first round of the tournament. I can see why they would do this in regards to a time issue. Baseball takes a long time to play a game, even a 7 inning game. Having to spread a tournament out over a 2 weekend span is not fun either. Travel & hotel expenses for teams, hotel expenses for parents and fans, & having to fit around the home schedule of the Legends isn't always easy. Being able to knock this out in a Thursday ---->Sat or Friday----->Sun scenario is much easier to do with a 4/2/1 tournament game bracket than a 4/4/4/2/1 scenario over two weekends.

Dunbar better savor that victory from last week, because it wont happen two weeks in a row, especially against the Broncos.

I agree with you 100% @Straitshooter & @TheLoyalFan859 on your thoughts, I have Scott Co & Male interchangeably at the top followed by Trinity then everyone else in the distance and that includes Frederick Douglass. I can't bring myself to put Douglass up there simply because they have a 4-0 record at this point. Lexington football is down right now, so to gauge them against wins against Tates Creek & Lafayette doesn't do it for me, no offense to those programs, they just aren't where they were even just a few years ago when Lafayette went back to back to the State Finals. Their other two games have been against a 4A & a 1A school. I think Trinity beats Douglass by 4 touchdowns right now if they play today & I haven't seen either one of them play a down this entire year.

Kinda unfair to even rank Sayre at this point. I was under the assumption before the season started that they weren't going to field a Varsity team this season, but from the looks of it they indeed are picking & choosing a few games with some small programs to test the waters which I think is a pretty good idea. The rest of the rankings look pretty spot on.

Tates Creek who hadn't looked good at all against Henry Clay or Frederick Douglass had a 37-0 lead on them & a running clock before Paul Dunbar scored. Looks like another long year for Dunbar & looking at their schedule, possibly only 2 chances to steal a win against McCreary Central & Western who are both winless as well at this point. @TeddyRoosevelt posted on my thread & I have copied their post over to this thread: I was able to catch some of the game. Dunbar may be worse than they were last season. Tates Creek is not very good IMO and it was no contest.

I really don't keep up with LCA, why did they fall off from last year to this year so bad? Did they graduate a lot of good players, or is something else up with the program?

Dunbar is not good & hasn't competed since Paul Rains left a few years ago. This wasn't shocking to me, or a lot of others.

Anything else on this one, or did it get postponed due to weather?

As a former AD, this game frustrates me in several ways. I wouldn't want my school playing this game honestly, on either side of the coin.

SK probably wont have any issue with Station. I've heard Lafayette is down this year & they still pulled it out over the Defenders.

Best I have ever seen in this state by far. Congrats to them, hope those kids take pride in it & what it represents.

Any Lexington school has to go through Scott Co. to be able to be seen as a dark horse IMO. McKee isn't gonna show his full hand during the season. Lafayette had their number for a few years, but I'm not sure that anyone in Lexington 6A will be able to do it this season.
