Playing for Cronin and Eviston (since I am on the offensive side), I enjoy both as coaches and men. Eviston is a very up tempo and is very intense. I hope he doesn't go to be honest, but I could see why.

I agree 100%. Raceland is definitely at the peek of their program right now and I see them making the third and fourth rounds of the playoffs the next four years. Paintsville, IMO, is climbing back up to where they were 20-25 years ago and Pikeville is climbing back up as well. Hazard is also playing very well right now. Not like they were 5 years ago, but they are always in the mix on the East side of the bracket. Raceland, Hazard, Paintsville, and Pikeville are all fighting for that East spot in the Finals. Going to be another exciting year!

I believe this is a very important day for all athletes that will be signing. However, it is more important to their families as they will be able to say that all the practice, film, and winter weights will finally pay off and give them a great opportunity to build their future with great educations. That is a very important aspect of playing college ball and every family should enjoy their time today with their son (or daughter) and cherish all the memories. Great day to be an athlete! Ashland had a rough year last year compared to the expectations. They definitely started off slow and finally found their mojo mid-season. I really hope Ashland has a better year this season and makes a push once again in the playoffs. Last season they had two great athletes in the backfield in Quinton Baker and Jake Long. Long has since moved to Ohio for other reasons not concerning football. Baker returns with a lot of expectations to have a great year and finish his amazing high school football career and continue on to the next level. I would love to hear JEaston's thoughts and what other information he has on the team. Goood luck to the Tomcats this coming season.....except for Game 2..... :thumb:

I had the pleasure to play against Kash and his older brother both. Great kids with great talent and great work ethic. Last year, just standing from the Raceland sideline, I could tell that he has really worked hard in the weight room. Looks like a hoss out there compared to the year before last and I really see him getting a lot of NAIA and D2 look and possibly some FCS looks. Good luck to Kash and the rest of the Tigers this coming season. I am glad to see the program in the right direction again like they were years ago.

Special People make it a Special Place. And I am sure, as Ram said, Coach Ross could tell you the same thing.

I, along with Ram, attended the funeral today in Ashland and it was one of the best services that I have attended. Coach Ross battled the illness for a long time and I believe the family knew it was his calling to go to the Lord and everyone there seemed to enjoy all the stories that were told. Great stories were told during the service as they opened the floor to anyone that wanted to tell a story or experience they encountered with Coach. He was definitely an icon for this area and touched a lot of people. I am glad I attended the service to witness the "winningest" coach in Raceland history be put to rest.
