  1. I'd be interested to know whether there was actually anything on the phone that they didn't already know about.
  2. This thread is hilarious and absurd at the same time. Anyone that can't comprehend the difference between a RNC or a DNC not allowing guns all while being protected by the secret service and police compared to not allowing teachers to be armed to protect kids needs to have their head examined. It's two completely different issues, these conventions will still be well protected, schools and such are not.
  3. Me either, but to be Frank they shouldn't even be participating this season.
  4. Will they be able to participate in post season play?
  5. Really appreciate the time and work that went into this list @gchs_uk9! My heart still say's my Tomcat's are number 1 on the list even though your formula puts them at #2, but I'll take it. Ashland has dropped off quite a bit from what they once were, but it's nice to see them get some recognition for the winningest team in KY hoops. I could argue that you could have them and Owensboro at 1a and 1b but I won't. Really appreciate the work you've done on this. :thumb:
  6. Unfortunately it looks like the title is UNC's to lose, in a year that they shouldn't even be eligible to participate at that. :puke:

    Mowing?

We mowed a couple of lawns last friday because customers called. Started full swing this week, but are skipping the ones that aren't ready yet. I imagine next week everyone that doesn't have bermuda will be ready.
  8. They do work best on flat lawns, but they can be used on sloped lawns as well. However when you get over a certain size lawn or a steep slope, it makes no sense to use them. They can be used on steep slopes, but it makes no sense to do so commercially. To be honest we only use them on a handful of lawns and those have primarily bermuda for their primary grass. It just doesn't work out for us time wise to use them on a regular basis. But I do use one at my own lawn and it gives a better cut than most gas mowers do.
  9. I'm with you on IU and it has nothing to do with them beating UK. Crean really turned that team around defensively this year, they were underseeded and tossed into the toughest region. It's hard not to root for them.
  10. Sharpening the blades on a reel mower can be a pain, but as long as they're sharp they're one of the best mowers you will find. That goes against my entire business plan, but I'm not gonna lie to you guys.
  11. To be honest I love reel mowers. I have a lawn care business and it's not feasible for us to use them on most lawns. But they're great mowers as long as you have a small lawn.
  12. I hope your right. That was what I was thinking when I said it could be good. There will certainly be a lot of money coming in from tourism etc. I just hope the government doesn't "addopt" them and give them a ton of foreign aid.
  13. Cuba is likely about to explode with tourism/hotels etc coming from Americans. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, it could be good, but it could also turn out really bad. In the grand scheme of things and as others have mentioned, this will work out better for Cuba than America, but I'm okay with that as long as we don't start giving them a ton of money for foreign aid, etc.
  14. 62 posts in and I still know nothing.. :idunno:
  15. Can we give UL a forfeit for not participating?
  16. IU will have to be firing on all cylinders to win this one, but I'll certainly be pulling for them. I really think whoever wins this game may be the team that wins it all. The thought of a program that spent the past 20+ years committing academic fraud winning a championship before they are punished for their crimes makes me wanna puke.
  17. I drank my self to sleep last night thinking the end must be near. But alas, when I woke the sun was still where it's supposed to be and it's just another day. I had a bad feeling about this game so the end result wasn't much of a surprise. IU has a solid team and UK has had to rely on two players to win the game for them all season, it's almost impossible to win the NCAA tourney like that, even in a down year for college basketball. Congrats to @Bench and the Hoosiers! When I watched them earlier in the season their defense was suspect but they could score with anyone. From what I seen yesterday their defense has came a long way, IMO if they can play with the defensive intensity they have yesterday throughout the tournament they have a good shot at winning it all. I'll be pulling for them the rest of the way, they were underseeded and tossed into the toughest region on top of that. As much as I dislike SOME of their fans, I gotta pull for them, they have been a pleasant surprise in an otherwise bad year of college basketball.
  18. Just seen that vegas has the over/under on how many times Crean claps during the game at 103,199. I'll take the over.
