The state is mandating it. My better half told me they have until 5pm.

The drive thru bars are gonna be interesting.

I was about to say the same thing until I noticed your post. The thing is, this virus is new, we didn't have a test for it until a month or so ago. Then it takes time to manufacture enough tests for everyone that needs one. The numbers of infected are gonna go up significantly as more people are able to get tested, you already know that though. My thoughts on this have changed completely since I first heard about it. It's bad, it's bad for everyone in the world and its gonna take some time to build things back up once it's over.

There will be a lot of the smaller locally owned restaurants that will go under due to this in my opinion. My better half works in management for Cheddars and she was running some numbers this morning for yesterday's sales and customers served compared to the same day last year. Of 10 or so locations that make up her regional stores most were down 35-38% with the one exception being a location in Cookesville, Tennessee which she says is always an overachiever. Cheddars parent company is Darden and they do really well, so this obviously won't put them under. I could see this being devastating to the smaller restaurants that aren't part of national chains though.

Yeah those are the people that this is going to have the biggest psychological impact on. I've prepared myself for it mentally and figure it'll give me time to do some things around the house that that I haven't had time to do due to work. We have a small basketball court, playground, trampoline and a decent sized yard for the kids to play in. People that live in apartment complexes and such are gonna have the hardest time dealing with this because they likely won't be able to go outside at all.

It's not an assumption in this instance, imo, unless people are just being ignorant. This isn't a situation that affects our water supplies at all. Even if we were locked down by the national guard, they would run the water treatment facilities. This is a virus, not a natural disaster that affects our water supplies. Plans have been in place to keep the water flowing since the cold war.

Haha. That would work as well I suppose hah. My better half has accumulated about 20 or so sets of bedsheets over the past several years though and we don't use most of them. Guess what happens to those we don't use if we run out of tp and the stores don't have any? They'll get cut into squares, thrown into a paper bag then into the fire pit. Toilet paper would be one of my last concerns if we shut down like Italy has, but maybe I'm just an idiot.

I can't get on board with the bolded because there are alternatives to bottled water or toilet paper if crap really hit the fan. Water for instance will still be coming out of the taps at our homes. I know a lot of people prefer bottled water but if that's not available, drink the tap water, you'll still live. I don't get the toilet paper thing at all, if ya run out you can find something similar that will work. If it gets that bad cut up anything made of cloth, use it and burn it when you're done with it. I know, that's not ideal, but it would work just fine.

KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen® SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY

It could quite possibly be Ashland in 1928. Undefeated doesn't happen very often. -
It's still a recommendation but from what I can tell they are all following along with the recommendation.

Right. I meant to add that as well but lost my train of thought. -

I imagine you are correct. With everything else in the country being shut down I get it though. You don't want to be the only tournament in the country that goes on as scheduled just to make the money from it. -
Ashland found a real gem in coach Mays. A previous coach nearly ran the program into the ground. Coach Howell did a good job of turning things around for a small time frame. But coach Mays is what Ashland has been needing for a while. What he's done is remarkable, coach of the year in the state of Kentucky if I had a vote, regardless of what happens in the sweet 16.

Ya gotta respect good basketball. Honestly I believe these kids know the game better than a lot of highly rated college freshmen. They know what it takes to win and expose teams in that sense. They may not be the most athletic (though they are really athletic) or have the size to win some of these type of games. But they have really good basketball IQ and they can all shoot the ball really well.
