SK RB Sergent is one fast man. Nice future weapon for Marksberry. SK's best play call of the night was the brilliantly executed play action 90+ yard TD pass. Perfect call at the right time.

Still scratching my head at CC's offensive game plan in the 2nd half. I'm all for a nice run/pass balance but CC seemed intent on going to the air too much. They don't have the horses to beat SK with a passing attack and I think they abandoned the run game in the 2nd half. Where was Dowds? Disappointed that CC didn't give him the rock more. Missed opportunity IMO.

Yes, but CC's QB was showing his hand all night right from the snap which way he was going to throw.

The Camels deserve this win. They played with more fire than MC and beat them in all phases on offense and defense. Big shout out to Alex Dowds, who had a monster night on both sides of the ball and Peyton Anderson with a game changing 4th quarter interception.

Yep, that's exactly what I meant. Sorry about that. Highlands' run defense is suspect and the running game is Boone's greatest strength.

@oldgrappler is spot on with his assessment. Boone can win this game by grinding it out on the ground. If they can sustain drives and keep the Birds' offense off the field, the odds are favorable for a victory. I agree that Boone will have to score in the 20's to win this one but their strength is the running game and also Highlands' weakness. Onward and upward, Rebels!

I was at Boone County's game Friday night and expected a mud pit. To my surprise, the field looked really good and held up very well during the game. Sure, players were slipping at times but the field was in good shape immediately after the heavy rains fell.

This thread was unnecessary from the beginning and then sunk to new depths. Everyone knows Trinity is a perennial power and they stomp their district. Everyone knows NKY 6A is little brother to Louisville 6A. Congrats on the district title that means nothing to your school. Good luck in the playoffs. I hope you beat all opponents by 50 so that you can point that out to everyone as well.

Congrats to the Rebels. They never quit and made every play when they needed it. That team grinds. They took advantage of several Camels miscues and they deserved to win this game. Even in the loss for my Camels, I'm happy for the Rebels seniors. This is a game they'll forever remember and they earned this win.

It still blows my mind that Boone County only has 2 wins since their appearance in the 2011 state semifinals. I've been pulling for them but I'm rooting for my Camels this week. Boone has definitely improved this year even if their record doesn't indicate it. I think these teams match up well and I think this will be a close game. With a good bit of rain in the forecast on Thursday, the field could be a mess on Friday night and that should make for a fun game to watch. A sloppy field would give Boone County the edge, I'd think.

I respectfully disagree. CC's offense is well below average. CC will need to score in the 30's to have a prayer and that will not happen.

Great win for the Lady Stangs! The frustration continues for the Camels. Their offensive woes continue against solid competition. I've heard through the grapevine that there have been heated Twitter comments from some Camels players. I hope it's not as bad as it seems.
