Congrats to the Neers on exececuting in the 2nd half. They made adjusments and dominated from the 2nd half kickoff till the clock hit 0:00.

Campbell dominated the possession in the first half. They did a nice job converting first downs, their first drive was 8:00 and resulted in a score. Luke Vance made some nice plays tonight.

Still scratching my head at CC's offensive game plan in the 2nd half. I'm all for a nice run/pass balance but CC seemed intent on going to the air too much. They don't have the horses to beat SK with a passing attack and I think they abandoned the run game in the 2nd half. Where was Dowds? Disappointed that CC didn't give him the rock more. Missed opportunity IMO.

Camels tried running but SK was making the tackles at the line of scrimmage.

Totally agree with you. CC used the run and short pass game in the first half to slowly work down field and control the clock to keep SKs offense off the field and out of rhythm resulting in a tied game at the half. But then continued to try to pass second half, resulting in more and more picks off of the same play to the left long pass. Makes no sense at all. And Dowds was basically not used at RB the whole second half. CC didn't seem content to use what was working for them. Big mistake.

Got to give it to SK for making some adjustments second half. I'm sure Marksberry had some choice words for his team during the half as well.

Surprised by the Halftime score but the final doesn't surprise me at all.

That's what I was referring to earlier. I think SK's offense growing scoring put Campbell Co on the ropes and feeling they had to throw the ball. As a result SK had a couple quick interceptions followed by scores, all of the sudden it was almost a running clock game.

 

I agree with you, Camels definitely went away from the run, but I think they felt they had.

 

When I counted that the Camels only had about 45 dressed in the first half. I told my girlfriend, around the end of the first quarter that the second half may get ugly and it did quick. They just didn't have the horses for this one but I was impressed at how hard and efficient hey played in the first half.

SK RB Sergent is one fast man. Nice future weapon for Marksberry. SK's best play call of the night was the brilliantly executed play action 90+ yard TD pass. Perfect call at the right time.

Bengal player Cedric Peerman was at the game cheering SK to victory.
