Chris Jackson. LexCath OT to Tennessee-Martin

Chris Jackson from LexCath has signed with Tennessee-Martin. Jackson is a 6'8 285 tackle who has only played football for 2 years and a former basketball player. Congrats Chris!

Sam Letton, who starred for Lexington Catholic as a freshman and sophomore before following his father Bill (former LexCath coach) down to Georiga, has committed to play for Neal Brown at Troy. Sam was a 1st team all-state Tight End in Georgia and rated a 3-star recruit.

2017 linemen Woodford Lankford out of Lexington Catholic received his first D1 offer from Miami (OH) tonight. Lankford is 6'4 280 and a great kid. Woody has started the last 2 seasons at Right Tackle for the Knights, helping the team reach the 4A semifinals and become the 3A runner up this past season. Big Congrats!

Best team I have seen.

I get where you're coming from and if I'm wrong and this is only about the senior year then honestly I agree. I do think his production didn't match his talent this season but I believe that's a combination of injury and the O-Line taking a step back from the year before.

Only got 14 carries a game. Also played with a huge cast to protect his broken hand the 1st 6 games of the season. I do believe the Class of the Commonwealth team takes into account careers. If I'm right then you can take into account he was a 1,600 yard rusher last season when he was healthy all year. (That was after he missed his entire sophomore season with a serious injury). If LexCath had wanted they could've given him the ball 25 times a game and he would have matched that again. Add in that he'll play at the D-1 level (most likely FCS) and I believe he's worthy. Even though honestly I was surprised they went with him and Andy Thompson (both tremendous players) as the LexCath representatives over JJ Ogbogu.

Pretty solid IMO.

Was going to say this. Plus LexCath gets new helmets it seems like every 4 years. That doesn't match what Oregon does but is more than pretty much any other high school program.

(That I'm personally aware of) 14 total (HM included) from Lafayette the most of any school. 4 players from LexCath on the first team offense the most of any school. 4 players from Bryan Station on the first team defense the most of any school. Team Totals (HM included): Lafayette 14, 12 Lexington Christian, LexCath 11, Bryan Station 10, Dunbar 10, Tates Creek 9, Henry Clay 9.

Its probably a better sign that he is blowing past the average Kentucky high school kid than those players making him make a contested catch IMO.
