  1. Since Travis Eliot went down with injury, Ryle's winning percentage is less than 30%. . Owen Hauck offense is not effective without a d1 caliber back. Hiring an internal candidate for OC does not help the situation IMO. I predict that if Boone starts lighting up the scoreboard with their new offense, discontent in Union will ferment to open rebellion.
  2. Especially week 9 with the playoffs in two weeks. Nobody wants to go in the playoffs with a MASH unit. Trinity is 3-4 deep at every position, the rest of us, well, are not!
  3. Boone, Dixie and SK will all be stronger than Campbell this year.
  4. Did the Holmes defensive linemen (Can't remember the name, sorry) who was considering transferring follow through, or did he stay?
  5. Did you see Scott County play last year? They had about 6 kids with that kind of speed (4.5 - 4.7 40).
  6. This is not a new coach, but I believe Coach Warner of Ryle could feel a lot of heat. If Ryle starts out slow and Boone starts lighting up the scoreboard with their new offense the discontent in Union could turn to open rebellion. Fear The Nation, do you concur??????
  7. My understanding is that Winkler and Mulberry also were timed sub 4.5 in practice. This is going to be the best team speed this squad has had in the post Simpson era. Sure would have helped against SC last year.
  8. Perhaps the most brutally honest post I have ever seen. From an outsiders view, there do seem to be "issues" at Ryle and it seems to start with limited participation.
  9. I would have to say Clevenger and Wagner are under the most pressure because those programs expect to win. Wagner , in particular, I believe will be under a ton of pressure. With the creation of Bishop Bossart's program and an improving Campbell County program, NCC is struggling to field a freshman team after winning a state title. If you combine that with a sub par season or two, would NCC draw enough players to even have a program???
  10. BW proves year in and year out that a small school with a large number of open enrollment players can be very competitive, even dominant, over larger schools that have few, if any open enrollment players. No need to make it more complicated than that, or put down schools that don't have the benefit of these advantages..
  11. My impression after going to about 10 of these now is that combine performance is valued over on field performance. Makes me scratch my head.
  12. Is that really any different that beating your chests after beating the likes of Ludlow, Bellvue or Dayton? Or , really anybody in 1A not named Mayfield?
  13. My somewhat educated guess is that it might have to do with the safety of the officials. Being that close to the line of scrimmage, officials would be more at risk of violent contact.
  14. Head west on 536.
  15. That is not legal under ncca regulation.
  16. Don't you think its the parent driving these decisions, not the kid?
  17. Do you advocate sitting out a half season even when there is a change of residence? How about if the residence change is from out of state? What if the player involved is a child of a coach that loses his/her job?
  18. Has NDA filled their opening?
