Holmes - Holy Cross Transfer?

Featured Replies

Can anyone confirm the rumor I'm hearing that a Holmes, to be Junior, has enrolled in Holy Cross, yet again.

Cannot confirm but...it tis that time of the year for the annual Covington/Latonia transfer news.

This would make two tours of duty at Holmes and HC if true.

So from Holmes to Holy Cross, then back to Holmes and now back to Holy Cross. Add a short summer stint at SK and visits to BCHS and across the river to Princeton I don't think Nostradamus could predict where she will play her senior year.

Please, please KHSAA ... change the transfer rule. Go to the Ohio rule where you are required to sit half a season. That is enforceable and will be good for everyone, including the kids.

Do you advocate sitting out a half season even when there is a change of residence? How about if the residence change is from out of state? What if the player involved is a child of a coach that loses his/her job?

I'm sure there are exceptions and there would be an appeal process for any rule. But this one is rediculous. This poor young lady has been "shopped around" way too much to fall under one of the exceptions. Exceptions aren't trends. This is a trend, whether her dad lost a position as a coach or not. What kind of life lesson is being taught for her future. When things don't go your way, just bail out and go somewhere else? Eventually you run out of "somewhere else's"

Do you think that colleges will take her inability to remain content at any one school into consideration when recruiting her? Would they be concerned that she would be just as unloyal to them and jump ship?
