Thanks for keeping us posted! If they can't get the game played tonight, I would hope that they can get it in tomorrow since the schools are in neighboring counties.

If you honestly think that the players either don't read these forums or that someone doesn't tell them what is being said about them, you have not your mind. Danville might have done to them what you're saying, but there is no need to give the opponent more motivation to prove the naysayers like yourself wrong. All that aside, let's let the teenagers play the game that they've trained so much for and enjoy ourselves while seeing them do so. In the grand scheme of things it is just a game and nothing to lose our heads over. I of course want Rockcastle County to pull out the win, but I also would want both teams to fight hard, leave it all out on the field, and for the players to come out of the game injury free and better prepared for when district action heats up.

No matter if you think one team is going to run the ball down the other team's throat, why would you give the opponent fodder for their bulletin board? I can almost guarantee that someone involved with the Danville team will print this off and mention it to the team and they will use that as extra motivation come Friday night. I am a big fan and alum of Rockcastle County's but you will never see me post anything that the other team could use as motivation to beat my Rockets. I just don't understand why some people do this.

The video is nice and all, but when are coaches going to stop allowing their teams to have dark numbers on dark jerseys or light numbers on light jerseys. Those jerseys in the video will be atrocious bad at night and especially from afar. I feel bad for anyone who is a PA announcer or a radio crew who has to decipher who does what this season.

Looking at East Ridge's schedule, I can see them starting the season with a 5-0 record. That is of course without knowing anything about Twin Valley (VA) and doing score comparisons with the other opponents in the first five games as compared the their results last season. I think at best they could be about a 6-4 team at the end of the season though.

Let's hope there isn't any inclement weather on September 25 causing the game to be called in a tie like the ones you referenced in this thread. Heaven forbid but if it does, everyone can thank you for jinxing it It does seem surreal that Somerset was winless last season, but the funny thing was that they were favored in their first round playoff game. It's crazy to think a team can go without winning a game in the regular season and still be favored over the district champion in the opposite district. I looked at their schedule and can't see them going without a win this season. I do think that there could be a strong possibility for them to be 1-9 heading into the playoffs with their lone win against Caverna, but coming into the season with 11 consecutive losses and the schedule they have, things don't look the greatest for even a .500 season. With that having said, I do with this the best of luck and maybe Brother Ezekial, Brother Jedediah, Brother Albert, Brother Hezekiah, and myself can get the big wagon from one of the elders to come catch a game at the Briar Patch for a game this season

Danville is Danville and they will always have talent. It will just be a factor of can they harness it all together at the right time. I don't see this being a blowout as Agent33 says, but I do see if as being something that can be over quick if Rockcastle County can control the clock as they did in a bunch of their games. Only time will tell how each team's conditioning will be a factor with the always high August humidity but Danville will have a game under their belts so who know how things will go. ATLCat, I totally agree that it does not feel right especially with the program having the success it did for a couple decades and even that much more in the early 2000's. Not every Rockcastle County supporter will gt on here and give their opponents fodder to use as motivation. This team is still fairly young as far as grade level goes but with the coaching staff biting the bullet two years ago and starting as many freshman as they did, they have set themselves up to be a pretty experienced team come the start of the season. The biggest thing that cost them success last season was the injuries that key contributors sustained. The Rockets might not be the biggest team out there but they will work their tails off and with a running back group that will contain Brent Lovell, Austin Mills, Holdan Barnett, Devon Robinson, Dalton Rowe, and Dylan Rowe, look for the team to go back to smashmouth brand of football that Rockcastle fans are accustomed to. From the KHSAA roster, the team will only have a total of THREE seniors so if this season's team doesn't make noise in the postseason, look for the team next season to follow up with a stellar season. My biggest worries are how will the team handle five of its first six games on the road and without having a bye week, how will they handle not having an off week to get their bodies ready for district play. Yes the longest road trip will only be to either Wayne County or Knox Central, but its still not like playing in front of your home crowd. The guys will be battle tested and I envision a really good season. There is only one game that I don't see them winning and that is Pulaski County. With that having been said, I can see Rockcastle County having a regular season record anywhere from 9-1 to 5-5. It all just depends on how healthy the guys and get and how they handle themselves in big games.

I am glad that their game against Rockcastle County is at The Rock this season. Not a fun time trying to stat a game from inside the pressbox there at CCHS's field. But with that having been said, I wish the Tiger nothing but the best but think it will be hard for them to have success this season. I, as with many others, think that they are competing for the #4 seed in the district with Russell County. The team that win the game on October 23 will find themselves traveling to either Taylor County or Mercer County for a first round tussle.

Does anyone have a list of what regions will be swapping officials for their respective regional tournaments? I have heard that the 12th and 15th Regions will be swapping but am not totally sure on that.

I am glad this tournament is named after Mr. Kaelin. Can anyone tell me if he is still keeping the book for CCH? If so I hope he does the 9th Region Tournament again this year. The tribute they gave him prior to the 9th Region Finals almost brought a tear to my eye! Always love seeing good people get the recognition they so deserve.
