Danville (1-0) Takes on Rockcastle (0-0) in the Bob Allen Pigskin Classic who wins and why?

I haven't read any of the Rockcastle County forums. What are their unbiased expectations for the season?

 

I'll take Danville at home for now. I'd like to see them 2-0 going into the Boyle County game.

Rock will be a good team. I'm not sure how they will be compared to Danville though. Rock played a lot of young guys last year and most of their starters were not Seniors.

rockcastle raiders is correct rockcastle started 10 sophmore last season finished 7-5 winning a lot more games than many expected. This year expectations are high. Last season Rockcastle rushed for 3512 yards which averages out to be right at 300 yards a game. Rockcastle returns alot on offense and defense including leading rusher in brent lovell who had over 1200 yards last season. Chayse Mcclure should get the starting running back position and go 3 deep with running backs who all should rush for over a 1000 yards each this season. They have good size in lineman including Hunter Hines at 6'7 350lbs. Should be a very good game to watch, very physical and smash mouth football should be expected. Many feel this is the best chance Rockcastle has had to beat Danville in a long time.

Last years 7-5 team had a lot of injuries too. They might have been a game or two better had they not been injury plagued.

Because it's at Danville. Im going to take Danville but I wont be surprised if I pick wrong

This will be the test to see if Danville's run defense had improved from last year. If they can't stop the run, give me rock by 20!

That is absolutely true! If Danville cannot stop the run, it could get ugly. Sadly, the same can be true about Rock stopping the pass.

Rockets will physically beat Danville down

By running it down their throat and tough defense

I've actually watched Danville play and I'll be very surprised if they have the ball ran down their throats. I'll also be very surprised if Rockcastle County can match up with Danville's speed.

Danville BIG! Danville laid the woodshed to Larue, and Anderson in their scrimmage. I think Danville will surprise some people this year.
