Overall stats please!! Most HS coaches do not post the stats in NKY. To truly determine a good player one must take true "recorded" stats in their formula for determining top players, i.e., BA, GP, AB, H, R, PA, RBI's, OBP, TC's, RO's, IP, SB, K's, etc.. BA and ERA are not a true indicator of a top player, although certainly weights heavy in determining a good player. There are other players that have well rounded "overall" avgs. that should have consideration that are not even mentioned in this thread. LOL!!

Cooper is a solid team. St H apparently wasn't afraid to play Cooper tonight, especially knowing they were playing their biggest district competitor, Dixie tomorrow. So hats off to St H. and to Cooper for getting some needed field time and the win. Better team won and both teams got to play some unexpected players that deserve much needed play/field time! Can't say that for teams who elected to pass over Cooper for ????. Exactly!! Saving pitchers, players, etc.; all NKY HS coaches knew their schedule going into the season. Not acceptable in my book, unless your field is unplayable and or, you've exceeded your games played for the year, which has not happened to date that I'm aware of. Apparently the system is broke to allow this to happen. Who steps in to enforce the HS "agreed to" schedule? Why and how do we allow coaches to elect "not to play" teams based on their convenience? Does this happen in football and or basketball? I don't think so!! The teams not getting to play due to, what I call: "coaches convenience" ultimately loose their rhythm - pitchers, fielders and hitting. Is this right? NO! Lets face it, the coaches are doing because there is "NO" enforced penalty for not playing to their original "agreed to" HS team schedule? My opinion: enforce some type of costly penalty, i.e. = loss of seeding for their district and region. Thoughts please!

I don't understand why some people have to diminish the great efforts of the young men who played the game and won. Childish! Let it be! Again, congrats to Coach Mullins and his team. Job well done!

Also heard that Jared Williams is going to Transy with Blake and Rex Rogers. Transy scored big with these players. Congrats to all three fine young men. Well deserved!! Not only do these young men get to play another 4 years but they get fantastic college education. WIN WIN!!

Agreed! Great game by both teams. Ludlow looked really good and should be proud. ST H came on hard in the 6th with Rogers again starting it up and scoring for the Cru. Short game and strong pitching helped close the game out for a key District win for St H..

Tranny is lucky to have him. Tranny will be a solid team for years to come, especially with picking up Blake Hart and St Henry Rex Rogers. All great players from NKY! More importantly these young men will get a great college education.

WOW, totally shocked on this one. Congrats to Cov Cath on a big win.

Wish I was there on this one, however, from what I've heard, parents were way too into the game with calling out the players and umps. Keep it classy NKY! PERIOD! Its a game folks! We as parents need to lead by example. Keep the bar high at all times parents and players. I mean, really?

Great win Highlands over Boone! I do have to ask the question to Boone Coaches; why pitch Trey G with Holmes and not Highlands? Seriously? I heard that Trey is hitting 87mph. What a great young man! Again, congrats to Highlands!

Great game by both teams! Unfortunate throw down off the mark to third after stellar pitching by closer Rex Rogers. Rogers had 3k's in two innings against Scotts best hitters including / Spada and Keeny.
