Boone County has always put together a tough schedule to get them ready for the districts and the region. This year is no different. What are some of your thoughts for this years squad?

They're going to be visitors a lot.

NKU signee Ganns and Huff will lead their rotation. Ganns moved to the Flames last year and batted out of the 3 hole. Martin stepped well in districts and should contribute at 3rd base. Stanley should eat up some innings and flash a gap to gap stroke. I expect Johnson to show more power this year. Behymer not throwing this year hurts the Rebels pitching depth and Rader focusing on academics after being awarded an engineering scholly from WV takes away a kid with a very high baseball IQ and someone who could bat in the 400's. A catcher from Cooper looking for opportunity may be working through a knee issue, should be good for the season on early reports. Huff and Ganns can shut down the sticks. If they combine on the 1st game of districts they could easily be seen in the regional.

Boone did get their share of away games! Looking for Boone to have a strong season. Boone has several JV players from last season who should help fill any voids from parting Rebels. Junior Blake Roedersheimer. - catcher, Soph Jeffrey Purnell - SS/ RHP, Nathan Davis - RHP should all contribute to the Rebel cause. All three were part of the Bluegrass organization. Blake and Nathan played for the Buzz and Jeffrey was a member of the Bluegrass Lions.

Boone should be in the mix for the district championship.

No doubt Boone will be a factor. The Boone County district was the toughest top to bottom last year by far and may be again this year. Boone has some nice players for sure.

Are they playing Madison Central or Madison Southern in Cynthiana?

It looks to be Central in a tournament at Harrison.

Football coaches son will probably be tossed in there if he is back from surgery, his name escapes me though. Boone should be a tough out this year with the depth they have. Good luck to you guys.
