Game played at NKU. Final in 5 innings. Ross started and got the win for Conner, striking out 9 along the way. Hart was 3-3 w/ 3RBI.

Further confirms that the 9th is wide open.

Skinner said BW played all of their regular players. Combs had a HR.

Ross pitched well for Conner.

Sure does, been some interesting scores so far.

It sure is which will make for some great games this Spring. We shall see if BW can recover in time for their 6:00 game tonight against New Cath.

Wow, that was surprising. Congrats Conner! This region is fun!!!!

Nice job by Ross to hold down the Beechwood offense. I have to believe Beechwood did not pitch any of their top available arms with the All A title game tonight.

Slusher pitched is what Clyde said in the other thread.

OK. Thanks for the info. I didn't even know Slusher pitched. Does anyone know how many games he has pitched in his Beechwood career?

Slusher pitch ed some JV last year early in the season.

Was told by Conner parent that Beechwood struggled defensively all over

Not to take away from Conner, but I think this game ends differently with one of Beechwood's stronger arms on the mound.

It sounds like defense was the problem, not pitching.

2 runs scored in 5 innings. Ross had 9 Ks.

It was both.

Lots of walks compounded by some errors.

While 12 runs is an issue and obviously hard to overcome, what many see as the number 1 offense in

the region should score more than 2 runs.

I didn't think we would ever see the Tigers get run-ruled this season.
