Thanks LB. She was nails at SS when we played them. Made a couple of very nice plays.

Congrats to Ryle on a nice win. Congrats to McKenzi on the HR! Is Iron the SS? She is fantastic defensively.

She is a BEAST but in a good way!!!

Grant played a nice solid game. Scored 2 in the second on a triple by the short stop that scored the first run and then she scored. Walton had some chances but just couldn't get the timely hit. Lexi Rouse pitched and very solid game for the Bearcats as did Grant Co pitcher. Walton had 3 runners thrown out on the bases. 2 runners were thrown out at second and 1 was thrown out at 3rd. The out at 3rd should have been reversed. The 3rd baseman blocked the bag and did not have the ball. That is a call that if it goes your way your happy and if it don't the other team isn't happy. Every time that WV had a runner thrown out on the bag they followed it up with a hit! Good luck to Grant Co tonight against SK!

Keller graduated from Mason County, 5th all time in scoring. She played college basketball for St. Catherine University. She was an assistant with Rowan County last season.

I have heard that a coach has been offered. Should be early this week as I would assume that they have to wait and let the other applicants know.

Shack and Boesch were not there for Brossart as it was stated in the post above. Also, maybe Walton is better than you think. If your going off of record I would have to say that no one has played a harder schedule than Walton. I would like to see some of the records of other schools if they played the same schedule. I can guarantee that they would not be as good as you might think!

Lexi Rouse and Emma Quatkemeyer with triples. Olivia Dezarn clears the monster in center field! That is a huge shot to hit it over that fence.

Congrats to the Breds. Another great one LB! McKinlee has some serious wheels and she is a good kid!

That would be a big + for Boone and a definite - for SK if that happens IMO.

Congrats. Very impressive!

Good bunch of kids Very fun to be around! Congrats on a great run!

The ones that I know for sure are the following. Austin Lay Adam Kunkel Aiden Ruthsatz Zach Clinkenbeard Noah Shidler

Congrats to NCC on a nice win. Pretty sure the CRU was still undefeated in NKY play until last night. Thanks for another great write up on the game LB!

They have several young up and coming players that are in that 6th to 8th grade range. Sam Glover 8th (NKY Stealers 01) Macie Krohman (Louisville Lady Sluggers)? I know that Macie has played with them in the past and I am fairly sure that she is with them again this year but not 100%.

Who has seen one turned this year? Walton Verona's JV team pulled it off last night. Bases loaded and a line drive shot hit to center. CF charges and makes the catch (out#1), fires ball to 2nd base where the SS was standing (out #2 ) and SS throws to 1B (out #3 ) LOL. I am not sure if they still know what they did!

Yes, Bailey is playing for the 14U-01 Stealers. They should be a very fun group to watch play. This team has tremendous speed, has some girls that can hit for power and a couple nice pitchers. Should be an exciting summer for those girls.

From what I have heard is that the coach says that she will have her time after the seniors are gone! She is one of the best players on that team.

Nice! Great job Olivia!

Sounds like a great game as usual. Glad to hear that Haley is back.

These are all nice players. Bailey is an 8th grade. You also have the following. Nikki Bridgers - Boone Co. 8th Faith Alford - Walton 7th Olivia Henry - Conner 8th Addi Michael - Walton 7th Corin Crawford - Conner 8th Alana Matteson - Cooper 8th McKinlee Miller - Campbell 8th She did not play this year doe to an injury but you can add Hannah Bishop - Ryle 8th

Star Smith- Boone Co. 7th Kaylee McGinn - Dixie 8th

6'5" 250lbs / only 14 years old. going to be a very large individual! Shows interest in football.....you can't teach 6'-5" 250+lbs. You can teach technique!

Final per KHSAA Scoreboard. Any details on this one?

Generally teams from the Western part of the state are stronger. University Heights out of Pool A Murray or St. Henry out of Pool B Todd County Central out of Pool C Hancock County out of Pool D These are only the ones that I think will come out of their pools. Anything can happen. Good luck to St. Henry, Bishop Brossart and Trimble County.
