Well making plays is part of the game! That is why you play it right? Otherwise we could just take a vote and see who we think should win

Conner/Cooper updates
Cardinal101 replied to Yellow Card's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
In reference to the conner hater that asked about the question about the wrong kid going to the foul line, the ref came to Michael Scott and pointed at him to take the shot. Mike even said is it me and went to the line and in the end the right kid took the shot. I mean really How about just a great game to watch and props to copper for a hard fought game. And the kid that got hurt at the end from Cooper, great job I would take that kid on my team all day, all heart. Great job to Jim Hicks and all the boys from conner for a hard fought victory -

Conner by 8 They are ready and have been playing with a lot of energy -
The draw is Saturday and it will be easier to make solid prediction when the teams are matched up after the draw. But I already have my pick :sssh:

Well said

Not the case, to me it seems like someone is trying to take something away from Apollo, as if they did not deserve to win. Instead, I say well deserved and good luck in regionals. And believe me I live no where near Owensboro catholic.
-
Not sure if they were the most dominate in the 3rd region. Didn't Apollo win 2 out of 3 this year?

Sounds intentional, especially if a similar situation happened at the Pete Noll tournament. And you would also think that someone that was elected would hold themselves to a higher standard. Nice to see that 15 and 16 year old girls that were her former teammates, understand class. I am sure they did not learn it from the announcer. Stay classy San Diego!! (Ron Burgandy)

No they were not easy plays. The last play, was a very hard hit ball by Biz and the centerfielder was a little shallow and I was surprised she actually was able to get back and make a play on the ball. It was a great game and very fun to watch. Dixie is a very strong team and everyone puts the bat on the ball. I would not want to face them in regionals and they are much better than people think. Again great game for those in attendance.

There are definitely some teams that deserve everyone's attention. Completion is very close this year in the ninth region.

They had a conference with the base umpires and they confirmed it hit her first -

There are over 160 players on varsity rosters in division I in northern Kentucky. Frist team only represents about 5% of all varsity players and with the 13 girls that won honorable mention that is still only a small percentage of all players recognized and I am sure those girls are proud to be honored for their hard work. Dont view it as a participation medal, but that they are recogizing the top players in Northern Kentucky, and 33 players were recognized. Great job girls!

Shocked about so much crow hopping in 9th Region
Cardinal101 replied to Oldercoach's topic in KY Softball (High School)
Still would like to know which three pitchers. I have been to several 9th region games and I have seen a lot of pitchers. None of which I can remember saying a girl is crow hoping -

Not sure which three pitchers you are referring too, but the strongest pitchers in the ninth do no crow hop. Including Knotts/Boone, Smith/ND, Sims/Conner, Crupper/ Ryle, and in no particular order. -
I hope she gets healthy quick. She would be a help to any team

I thought Jordan Kramer pitched this year and is a junior with experience.

Could be a long year for St. Henry. Starting out 0-3 and run ruled in each contest and schedule does not get any easier.

Am i wrong, but 120 replies to this thread and 100 of those replies are from one person. I would love to not have anything to do

Yes, it is very common for players to look for travel ball teams outside of northern kentucky. It seems you sometimes need an organizations name to make it into invite tournaments, sad but true. It would be great to have a strong organzation in northern kentucky that provided great opportunities to compete at a higher level of travel ball. Hawks, Static, Doom, and not to mention the outstanding teams north of Dayton, Ohio. Also, some players travel great distances to play on premier select teams. -

This team could hit from top to bottom. All of the girls put the ball into play, and were excellent two out hitters. Kayla Ellis had two strike outs this summer with over 140 At Bats. Great bunch of girls, and its good to see that region 9 will have several good years to come.
