Kentucky Class 5A Rankings: 11 to 15
tackle trap replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Christian's record the last 3 years have been 10-2, 9-3 and last season 5-7. County is on it's last leg of two straight classes of very little skill talent. Usually CCHS has plenty of speed with some good size. With the exception of Ohio County every team they played last season had more speed and talent. When Christian's Boys basketball team gets beat by 15 to a average Trigg County team who got beat by Webster by 18 something is wrong. Combine that with playing 8 road games and Playing the likes Tenn Fulton(Tenn 4a champs), Caldwell, Hillsboro, Henderson and McCracken made for a tuff season. This year team is one of the youngest in 5a. On offense 4-5 freshmen have started on offense including the QB position with even more playing defense. These Freshmen are playing well against good competition so the future is bright just have to keep working to get better. Several of these young kids have a chance to make a name for themselves. Christian also took a blow when it learn a week before the season that their best player D Wharton who has offers from Kentucky and several other D1 schools would miss the season to have Payton Manning Surgey on his neck from an injury last season. -

It was Rossview but it was their 4th scrimmaige (rossview) and they only played their JV. No Seniors and only a handful of Juniors played. Hard to get a gage off of it. -
Mayfield/McCracken County Updates
tackle trap replied to swamprat's topic in KY Football (High School)
Wow.. win or lose Mayfield is something else. Sounds like the class A school has more left in the tank than one of the biggest 6A teams in the state. Impressive! -

Always pulling for Atherton. Grew up on their campus. Good win can they get some wins?

He's going to be special has a great work ethic and will only get better. Needs to work on his foot speed but that will come he's no means slow footed. Sindelar is the best QB I've seen in WKY ever. Guy can do it all and can run. Just don't get no better. On a side note Christian county has a couple a WR's everybody will know. Soph Keron Catlett had his 3rd 200 yard receiving in his short career and Freshmen Z. Kenner had over 150 yards last night in his first game in high school. -
For Trinity to lose only by 7 to Ensworth on the road is pretty impressive. I know a program like Trinity never accept moral victory but they must have gave a great effort last night.

I was looking for christian to double team Sindelar but it didn't matter he just went over them. Christian's Freshmen QB got pretty hot don't know what he threw for but might have been a school record. 4 freshmen and 3 Sophomores started on offense for the colonels.
