Who's making excuses? Just keep beating on your chest Tarzan. Remind me of a cricket that chirps all day long when things are going good but as soon as something bad is near the cricket keeps quiet and hides.

FYI: We don't have huge numbers in the Junior or Senior class this year and I will agree that we should of gone deeper in the playoffs several years but the bottom line is you have as many State championships as we do. Zero. Don't leave that fact out if we are going by facts.

Ok they still have to get by them to be crowned best NKY 6A team and justify all the bragging and chest pounding that is going on.

Your not guaranteed squat with 28 seniors. Last year Dixie was the best NKY 6A team. 2013 SK was the best 2012 and 2011 Campbell County won districts and we are the ones underachieving? Don't sprain your wrist patting yourself on the back because you still have to get thru SK to get that district title.

Everybody forgets that we graduated 28 seniors last year and returned only 3 starters this year. You don't need 4 years of a Harvard education to figure out this would be a down year. Grades 7 thru 10 have good numbers and some exceptional athletes. Camels just have to keep working, learning and getting better. When we do get back up, we will do it with class, honor and integrity.

Amazing how some get on here and beat on their chest when things are going good and kick the teams that are down. Let's not forget 2 years ago when Ryle was 2-9 and never scored over 20 points in a single game. Good for Ryle that they have a good wave of talent and have went from the bottom of the hill to the top, they've earned it but do it with class. You were right where the Camels are 2 short years ago. Don't forget what it took to climb to the top of the hill, you weren't just dropped off on the top. But don't kick us when we're down cause the wolf at the bottom of the hill is hungrier than the wolf at the top.

The key is the high school coach has to be involved with the feeder teams. Talking/encouraging the coaches and players and showing your face at games goes a long way with the younger kids. Not a huge fan of running the same O and D as the high school. I would rather have incoming freshman with good fundamentals rather than poor fundamentals but they know the O and D terminology. Everybody involved has to be on the same page from top to bottom. High school coaches should have a vested interest in their feeder programs.

Congrats to Colton. Know his dad well and he was an outstanding athlete at Newport back in the day. Outstanding family, keep working hard big fella, the sky is the limit with this young man.

Cov Caths first 3 possessions started inside Camel territory and they took advantage of it by punching it in on all 3 drives. It was 20-0 before anyone blinked. Halftime score was 23-0 Colonels. Camels played better in the 3rd and was at least able to sustain a long drive and score and the defense played better in the 3rd. Varsity score was 23-7 after 3 and the colonel JV punched it in 2 more times in the 4th to bring the final to 37-7. Cov Cath looked fast and both teams made mistakes but correctable mistakes. I believe both teams came out healthy and the scrimmage showed what they to both need to work on.

Mike Pippin. I played with him my frosh year in college. Hard thrower with an unbelievable 12-6 hook. He left midway through the year for some reason. We had a fantastic pitching staff that year. We had Pippin, Steve Dixon from Louisville who was in the Cardinals organization, Rick White from Springfield Ohio pitched for 10-12 years in the Majors. Last I talked to Rick he was the pitching coach at Wittenburg.

Camels will be tough this year with a deeper bench and a year under their belt with coach Menefee. Key this year will be staying healthy and continuing to play unselfish basketball. Last year the Camels had 4 frosh on the floor at times. They will once again be fun to watch and coach Menefee will have them ready.

Catch the disrespectful punks and sentence them to 15 minutes in the dugout with Coach Coffey.

I know at Campbell County if you are NOT in their feeder schools you can not play on any of the school teams or summer league teams, even if that kid plans on attending CCHS. We've had kids in the past that went to St. Mary's that were no doubt going to CCHS but couldn't play on any school affiliated team. On the other hand we've had kids in our feeder schools all the way to 8th grade that opted to attend NCC, HHS and Brossart. It does seem sometimes our hands are tied and their are unfair advantages. I'm sure Brossart feels that way about St. Mary's and St. Joes kids going to Ncc and both Ncc and Brossart feel that way with a lot more St. Joes kids attending Cov Cath. Not sure what's right and what's wrong but I feel like RCC9, give me the kids that want to be there, if a parent is willing to drive a kid from Campbell County to Kenton County to attend Cov Cath everyday then so be it. I want kids that want to be at that school not ones that are second guessing their decision.

It was my 1st time seeing Mr. Barrett play. Very impressed with him. He had an exceptional game, good size, very athletic and nice hands. Young man has game.

Price played excellent. Had a 40 yard run. I believe he scored 2TDs. Kids quick and elusive. Dom ran good but didn't get many carries. Zajak was the work horse tonight.

Only thing I didn't like about tonight was they didn't show where the kids were going to college on the rosters. Would love to know where some of these kids are going.

Kid is a beast. With him and Joseph in the backfield. Wow. I thought it was a fun game to watch. Hard hitting for an all star game.

Wow..... That's going way back... Congrats to Coff-drop and the lady birds. I really love what he is doing with that program. Keep it up RC and ladybirds.
