Camels played well tonight, started strong and kept up the intensity. #4 for Nicholas County is a very nice player. Big game Friday at Scott for the Camels! Go Camels.

Lady Camels get back in the win column in a hard fought game against the lady Wildcats in Gallatin County tonight 66-60. Camels were down 2 after the first quarter and went on a run in the 2nd quarter to lead by double digits only to see that lead slip away as the Wildcats fought back to knot things up at 30 at the half. Lady Camels came out on a mission in the 2nd half and it looked like they were going to cruise to victory leading by as many as 14 but the Wildcats fought back to eventually tie the game up and take the lead late in the 4th and it quickly turned into a barn burner. After a time out the Camels came out refocused and showed some patience and worked the ball very well to get some high percentage shots to reclaim the lead and hold on for the victory. Nice win for my Lady Camels, very unselfish game and a great team win. I was extremely impressed with Hannah Dossett from Gallatin. Young lady is a baller and can fill it up. Nice job Camels, keep working hard, getting better and playing unselfish team basketball. :thumb:

And I'll add one more thing to that before any arm chair QB's say it's his fault for scheduling that way. Coach Menefee didn't make the schedule, it was already made before he hired on. Our girls will rebound from this and make a run at the district title. TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK.....

We didn't press the whole entire 1st half, because 3 of our starters had 3 fouls each. When Brossart made a run early in the 3rd we pressed and got back into the game and took the lead because of our press. lady Camels are not very deep and when we get into foul trouble it's not a good recipe. Girls came out flat and didn't shoot the ball well which is a result of a week and a half layoff since their last game. I hope your not a disgruntled Camel parent venting on BGP? If you are and you feel that strongly about it then I would suggest you apply for a coaching job and do better.

This is always a crazy environment and hard fought game. You can toss records and common opponents out the window. A few things I think are key to the game are can the Camels contain Brossarts bigs? Can Brossart guards handle the pressure? Can the Camels force Brossart to play their uptempo style of play? How will the young players on both sides handle the environment? And last but not least, how with the refs call this game? If they call it tight it favors Brossart if they let them play it favors the Camels. Go Lady Camels!!!:thumb:

I really like how both of these teams just get after it. Highlands was lights out from the charity stripe and opened the 2nd half on about a 7-0 run which to me was the difference in the game. I thought highlands mixed up their defensive looks very well. Highlands is a very well rounded team, they can shoot very well, they kept us off the offensive glass and they play very good defense and did I mention they can shoot free throws. Good luck to the lady birds the rest of the way, I look for them to make some noise in the 9th. Very proud of my Young Lady Camels. They fought hard the whole way and never gave in. This game was a great measuring stick for us. No doubt we will learn from this game and get better from it. Always nice to catch up with RCC9 and talk about our glory days. :thumb: but I'm kind of worried that RCC9 has turned Cannibal on coach Menefee, a former HHS guy. Didn't think Bluebirds ate their young.

If those girls are only 8th graders the future is bright for coach Stamm and the Lady cougars. Both teams are very guard heavy with not much size and both teams are fairly young. This was a fun game to watch, very physical and the girls were getting after it on the defensive end.

Not sure which ones were the 8th graders. Give me numbers?

Nice win for the Lady Camels. When has girls basketball gotten so physical? I like it and it's fun to watch but I never remember them playing this physical. This game was a tight game through the first half. Lady Camels held a 2 point lead at half. Camels went up by double digits in the second half only to see the Cougars cut the lead to 3 late in the 4th quarter. Camels with some key rebounds and buckets at crucial times. Love how this team is getting after it on defense and running the floor and being very unselfish, especially with 3 freshman on the floor at times. Conner has some solid guards. Great job Lady Camels and good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

For me it was a tale of 2 halves. 1st half saw Campbell's press give Trimble fits and some easy buckets to build a double digit lead and the big for Trimble got in foul trouble. 2nd half saw Trimble fight and claw back and get several offensive rebounds with easy put backs. At critical points in the game it seemed that Campbell got a bucket when Trimble was closing the gap. Trimble was lights out from the line. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way. Also enjoyed both teams praying after the game at mid court. Always nice to see that after a hard fought game.

Vicki is truly a class act. My daughter played for a rival school and she made a point to tell my wife and I that she was willing to do anything we needed to get our daughter to play at the next level. She's a coach that gets "It". A great coach and an even better person. Good luck Vicki with your future plans.:thumb:
