Final from Tuesday evening.

Kind of surprised by this outcome. Trimble Co. has a nice team and I expected them to come out with the win. Congrats to the Lady Camels!

Score is a little closer than the game actually was. Campbell was pretty dominant. Trimble threw about six baskets in during the last two minutes to almost sneak a tie. Campbell was never losing though.

I'll respectfully disagree with you on this. Trimble pulled within 3 in the 3rd before Campbell made a run and then rallied again in the 4th. This game got close...twice.

I know. But I thought Campbell could pretty much do whatever they wanted. Trimble shot free throws well and it helped them climb back into it. The lady camels were in better condition and I felt wore Trimble out. Trimble struggles against the 2-2-1 press. If Clifford does not hit a couple of 3's in the first quarter, it could have been a much bigger deficit. Campbell seemed more crisp and sharp than Trimble. There sure were a lot of fouls called.

How many fastbreaks did Campbell fail to convert? They could have blown the game wide open, but Campbell should have lost. If the Raiders had rebounded the ball on the first free throw attempt then passed out to Kaylee at half court the game might have gone into overtime. Also Campbell had multiple oppurtunities to take Trimble out, but failed.

 

The big changer was Shelbie Black, she put 9 straight points up by herself and put the Raiders back in it. Unfortunately, she got into to foul trouble early and it forced her to the bench early.

For me it was a tale of 2 halves. 1st half saw Campbell's press give Trimble fits and some easy buckets to build a double digit lead and the big for Trimble got in foul trouble. 2nd half saw Trimble fight and claw back and get several offensive rebounds with easy put backs. At critical points in the game it seemed that Campbell got a bucket when Trimble was closing the gap. Trimble was lights out from the line. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way. Also enjoyed both teams praying after the game at mid court. Always nice to see that after a hard fought game.
