Newport doesn't staff the complex when Ncc plays. There's many times they play the same night with Ncc using the Newport field. There could be valid reasons, but it seems you're making a lot of excuses for Ncc. I'm with Ncc on not driving back to Ashland, but Ncc could definitely use the money of a home game.

Highlands because they're at least 3TD's better than all the local 6A teams.

Teams sub before it gets to 80. For example Highlands was up on Covcath one year 55-0 at half. I thought it might be the year Highlands scored 120 on them. It ended up like 62-0. Highlands called off the dogs. That's what coaches do in those situations. Sounds like Boone had a good 1st qtr to build on.

Is the new principal anti-sports? I thought the Diocesan rule for Sundays was after 1pm was fine. There are countless little league basketball games at Catholic schools on Sundays. The 9th regional basketball is usually on a Sunday. No reason it couldn't be played Saturday night either if Ashland was willing.

Covcath must be the real deal. We'll find out.

I wish they played at Newport tonight. It would give me enough reason to skip a wedding.

If Ncc did turn down a home game, then the hypothesis that Ncc is afraid to play may have some merit.

I'm only going by what I'm reading. They're saying Ncc afraid to play. No way if I'm Ncc do i make that drive 2 days in a row. Plus, that field will be a swamp all week.

Ashland fans talking smack on another site saying Ncc wouldn't agree to a reschedule. I can't blame Ncc for not wanting to travel back down there. I had enough of that drive and I wasn't on a bus. But Ashland claims they offered to come up here. If true, why wouldn't Ncc play at home?

I'm not familiar with Bullitt. What are their expectations this season, and what teams are their biggest obstacles?

I'm going to predict T's bad offense and Highlands bad defense are both good enough to win state titles.

I couldn't imagine having to have basketball every day. An hour practice once a week was bad enough. And it goes from October to March. I don't know how coaches do it.
