  1. Does anyone know anything about Lynn Camp? They have a great record against a weak schedule. Someone told me this might be their best team ever. Will they bring a strong crowd?
  2. There's a very good chance you're right. I'm fairly confident the LCA/UHA winner will face the winner of a likely Walton-Verona/Mayfield semifinal match. LCA likely beats UHA, and I think Mayfield/WV is pretty close to a toss up. If someone outside of that group of 4 is to pull off an upset, I'd go with Somerset.
  3. 40th district had a nice showing Saturday at GRC with Montgomery Co defeating the top team in the 14th Region, and GRC beating a top 2 team in the 12th (and top 20 in the state).
  4. Boone with 17 to lead Station. He plays with tremendous energy. Moreno has 12 for Scott Co.
  5. The last two teams undefeated against Kentucky competition. After tonight there will only be 1.
  6. That will be Mayfield's 4th straight day in action, and if they keep winning in the All A, they could end up playing 8 games in 9 days.
  7. I agree with this 100%! One thing I love about high school basketball is that games take about an hour and a 15 minutes, and double headers can be completed in around 3 hours. They really drag out the sessions with longer halftimes, more timeouts, 25 minutes between games, and sometimes presentations that take 5-10 minutes before they even start the 25 minute clock.
  8. I don't think so. I'm fairly certain the limitation is 30 games. They used to have something that allowed tournaments to count as just 1 game, but I believe they changed that a few years ago to where now all games count as 1 toward the limit of 30.
  9. It is not a KHSAA event. Anyone can host a tournament and use pretty much any criteria they want to determine who can play. I could decide to try and set up a tournament for all the private schools in the state, or all the county schools, or all the schools with Wildcats as their mascot.
  10. Big win for the Indians. Paul Wise hit a 3 at the buzzer to give Montgomery Co the win. KCC led almost the entire and was up double figures about half way through the 4th period when Deuce Ralls took over scoring at least 10 in a row for the Indians, finally giving them the lead in the last minute. After a pair of Evan King free throws, KCC ran a good play and Caudill set up a teammate (Napier?) for a 3 that tied it with 8 seconds left. Ralls took the inbound pass and drove to the free throw line before kicking out to Wise for the game winner.
  11. I believe Track and Cross Country both have 3, which might make more sense than 6.
  12. That's only if you're basing it on football classes.
  13. I like the idea of another statewide tournament, and in general this sounds like a great idea. I don't like that the organizers seem to be hoping to springboard this into full KHSAA classification.
  14. Is Knott Co Central right on the enrollment border for the All A Classic? I remember seeing KCC with Justice and crew when they were sophomores or juniors, but I don't remember seeing them since then.
  15. If my adding is correct Zion Harmon is already over 1000 halfway into his freshman year. At the rate he's scoring this year he will surpass the King if he stays in Kentucky and stays healthy for the next 3 years.
  16. Great article! I wish they'd get back to the format of including top teams from around the state. It was the premier tournament in the state for nearly half a century but doesn't hold the statewide allure it used to. I wonder why it became more difficult to get top teams from around the state?
  17. Bryan Station is so fun to watch, and the home crowd was very entergetic. Boone took over to start the 4th quarter. He plays with great energy and has made himself into one of the top players in the region.
  18. Near midcourt opposite the scorers table half way up. Accidentally wearing a hoodie that makes it look like I'm a Madison Central fan. Stupid red, white, and blue MCHS Indians.
  19. Very physical game. All those fans who want refs to "Let 'em play" would have loved this first half.
  20. The All A website used to do a top 5 teams and players for each region. Is that a thing of the past?
  21. I thought the crowd was pretty light for the Boyle Co game, but was some better Tuesday against Lafayette. I actually thought they had a more lively crowd when I watched them against UHA at LexCath. I'm hoping to be there tonight to see what should be a good game.
  22. They are a middle of the road 10th region team, probably in the 7-9 range. They will be an underdog to make it out of their district.
  23. You can also throw in that Trinity won at home, and Fern Creek won on a neutral site by basically the same margin as another reason to give the edge to Fern Creek.
  24. Drew McDonald - NCC Carson Williams - Owen Co Taveion Hollingsworth - Dunbar Matt Wilson - Campbell Co DeAndre Dishman - Bryan Station Terry Taylor -Bowling Green Quentin Goodin - Taylor Co Evan Hall - Knott Co Central Justin Miller - Owensboro Aric Holman - Owensboro
