The NCAA makes nearly every dollar they have on the Men's Basketball Tournament TV contract, so if you think they are going to risk CBS / Turner wanting a partial refund on that bad boy for the NKU vs Vermont Elite 8 game, you're delirious. That tournament and its TV contract pays for the D-III Water Polo tournament, and believe me, that thing would sink if left to fund itself. :bunny:
That is 100% the right call, every Cheer Coach in D1 knows the rules, and that ref crew even gave the kid a warning earlier. This is a non-story, kid broke a rule he 100% knew, even after a warning, and got walked.
Side-note, he is also probably a hero on campus now, so there is that.
The 18 (i think) finalists were named. Taylor is one of the 18 -- with that many named, obviously not a surprise he is included from his region as a Co-Player of the Year.
When they have JP / Trevon / Kaiser / Kanter on the floor together, myself and any 4 other BGP posters could put up 60. They are horrific defenders.
Why you're seeing Q / Paul / Naji / Tre / O'Mara playing together in different combinations.
Xavier's 1st half defense was awesome, holding Seton Hall to 25 points and .77 PPP. However, their 2nd half defense is why many, including myself, think the Final Four chatter is a pipe dream. You have to be able to get stops...period...and they have too many periods of not being able to do that.
You said since they've been getting rolled (which is true), alluding to Nebraska and the erroneous earlier comment that Nebraska had slipping attendance. Which is false. You said Scott Frost can bring the fans back, and again, they've sold out every game for 55 years.
There are a MILLION examples of college football's slipping attendance, and it is a MAJOR problem for AD's and those charged with paying the bills, however, Nebraska is the one school that doesn't fit the narrative.
Fun game to watch, and closer than the final score.
CJ has an unbelievable all-around game, he is so much fun to watch.
The Niece kid for SK is REALLY GOOD, and he shoots the eyes out of the ball. He is going to be fun to watch develop.
Unfortunate as heck for a deserving young man, if that comes to fruition.
Both are fine players, and appear to be great young men. Both have had wonderful careers, and both have earned a free education. My understanding is there is a lot of mutual respect between the two.
Simon Kenton is shooting a crazy high percentage , kudos to them. Have some awesome shooters, and they are getting good looks against CovCath's 2-3 zone.
I'm all for being a creature of the moment, but let's pump our brakes on Auburn being a challenge over the last many years:

IHM is in Anderson, less than a mile from Anderson High School. Are you thinking of the IHM in Burlington? Two different schools.
I think the kid is a McHale, but I could be wrong.
