  1. Your shade is noted, and your post is 100% spot on. I will add, these last two games should underscore, ironically, just how bad Mullin is late in games. How did this roster lose 11 straight Big East games? Glad Xavier has their two wins against them already, the Johnnies seem ready to win games in spite of their head guy. Nova, like Duke, will likely be fine.
  2. St Paul beat St Pius last night in the 7th grade Catholic School League semis, will play St Henry in the Championship for the 2nd straight year.
  3. Okay, does anyone have any actual information on this game? Is this being played? If not, who cancelled It? Was there a reason given?
  4. If you're a college basketball fan, in general, this is a really good read from Rob Dauster. The New Big East will never be the Old Big East, and that’s a good thing – CollegeBasketballTalk Not only does it touch on the Xavier / Butler game last night, it also talks a lot about the "old" Big East and the "new" Big East, and then talks about the crazy-dominance of Villanova these last 5 years. It is a quick read, take a few minutes to read it, I think it is fair, unbiased, and fairly accurate. I don't know @gametime 's take on Dauster, but I like him and I think he does good work.
  5. No one in 6th Grade is beating this Pius team...are they?
  6. I fully expect Campbell Co. and Conner to meet for the 7th Grade Championship.
  7. Who? The 7th and 9th have two really good teams, the 6th has 3 -- all of that pales in comparison to the 11th. Heck, I've said on here about 50x over the last 3 months what a gauntlet the 11th is. If anyone thinks the 11th isn't BY FAR the best region in the state -- please step forward.
  8. I'm surprised given the location of the game, to be sure.
  9. They have clearly elevated themselves into the Top 3 or 4 teams in Kentucky at this point. Their game next week hosting CovCath will be awesome.
  10. Funny tweet from National guy @RobDauster: "Watching Kentucky-Tennessee after that Butler-Xavier game is like opening a pizza box and seeing all that's left is cheese-less, sauce-less gluten-free vegan slices." That sounds a lot easier to deal with than steak knives in the eyes.
  11. Another quiet thread after a HUGE Xavier roadkill at Hinkle. Martin and Trevon Bluiett had great performances for each club, but Xavier's bigs were the difference. That is just a monster win. Off to Creighton on Saturday....
  12. I would take Camp Ernst over Turkeyfoot in a great game. I expect Campbell County and Conner to meet in the 7th grade finals.
  13. KHSAA has two games listed for Doss that day at virtually the same time: Corbin and Collins. One has to be wrong.
  14. Believe me, I'm rooting like crazy for the Cards to finish strong and Padgett to get a 50 year extension. #GoCards ! :jump:
