Really solid outcome, especially on the heels of the emotional win over Ohio #1 Moeller. Glad to see them avoid the potential let-down. Jake Walter was very good tonight. He continues to get better and better, which creates a lot of challenges for future opponents.

First and foremost, congrats to Oldham Co on the win. However, I can't help but be impressed with W-V, even in defeat. These two teams will be fun to keep an eye on all year.

It is better, to be sure. However, I think the biggest factor is the subtraction of Hendrix. He was a defender at the highest level. Tough to replace.

Surprised this hasn't been brought up, so I'm thinking maybe I have it wrong, but wasn't this supposed to be a St. Xavier home game, but a water issue led to the game being moved to Seneca? That has to be somewhat of a factor, right? I realize Seneca is Cameron Indoor, but I have to believe if the Tigers have this game at home the outcome is different. Am I all wet on this line of thinking (yes...sadly...that was on purpose)?

They are going to get to 7-0 before their Invitational, although I am not sure there has been a lot learned about the Pioneers to date. Who is playing in their Tournament, I can't find the bracket anywhere? Anyone in that field that can push them and give us a clearer picture of the Pioneers? I hope I don't have to wait until January 5th, when they go to Walton-Verona, to figure out exactly what this team is, and could ultimately be.

That game was LOADED with talent. Wow!! What an atmosphere and the game lived up to it. That is a HIGH quality win.

I think CovCath will be in the mix next week if they beat nationally ranked Moeller.

How about the two games on the 12th to keep an eye on: 1. #6 Lexington Catholic at #3 Scott County 2. #2 Covington Catholic hosting Ohio's #1 team, Cincinnati Moeller. Wish I could be in two places at once.

And that doesn't even include 5-0 Woodford County who host your Cardinals this week. You're right, the 11th is TERRIFIC!

I believe Moeller is #1 in Ohio, CovCath a nearly unanimous #2 in KY, so this thing should be fantastic. Really looking forward to it.
