  1. Worth noting that it says a LOT about CJ that numbers like 23 & 5 seem just okay for him. If Tommy or Billy had 23 and 5 we would all be gushing over his night, with CJ, we all just nod. Says a lot about him.
  2. Sounds like the game of the night failed to live up to the hype.
  3. I don't think UK gets this one, but I think it will be a fun game to watch.
  4. I will be very surprised if WV doesn't win this game by 10+ points.
  5. Christian Co. hosts a very good Paducah Tilghman team, and CCHS is coming off a fairly one-sided loss to McCracken Co. What happens? Does CCHS hold serve at home? Can PT get the road win?
  6. Game of the night is in Louisville tonight -- what does everyone think? I expect an 8-10 point win for Ballard.
  7. Over $2 Million, but your point is the same.
  8. I don't know anyone that would turn down $5 million per year guaranteed for 7 years. Regardless of probation. Gregg Marshall will certainly be a top candidate, but his wife is going to make getting a high profile job a bit challenging. Her deal would be a nightmare in Louisville, where the Cards are the NFL / NBA team all rolled into one.
  9. Fair point. If W.V. can find their footing permanently without Miles, they absolutely can beat them. Oldham County looked very impressive in dismantling Warren Central and John Hardin, I'm not sure W.V. (or anyone else in the 8th) can get to that level. I think Grant Brannen is outstanding, so I'm sure his boys will be well prepared when the Region rolls around.
  10. Awesome game in the 11th tonight -- wish I could be there in person. Thoughts and predictions? I expect Bryan Station to win by 6-10, but I'm open to the views and thoughts of others.
  11. Kansas has some major issues, and I expect their Big 12 run to come to an end. 2nd home loss this year, both, I believe, by double digits. edit: yes, by 10 and 12.
  12. Really happy for Jack Davin picking up 10! Hope this springboards him to a big back-half of his junior season.
  13. Trinity and Fern Creek are a solid #1 vs #2 debate when looking at in-state competition only. Both have a win against the other, so call that a wash. Fern Creek has wins against PRP, Doss, and CovCath. Trinity has wins against Pulaski Co., Lexington Christian, and Cooper (who beat CovCath). They are #1 and #2, or #2 and #1, however you want to slice it. Luckily, both will have many chances to state their case over the next 7 weeks.
  14. Given what went down on Saturday, on both ends of I-74, that would be hard for me to understand. If you're right, and I hope you're not, Xavier deserves to get beat.
