I'll take Scott in Georgetown.

What to do, what to do. Scott Co at home is normally a sure win pick for me, but obviously with a son on Central, then the normal doesn't apply :taz:.

That being said, I expect a slug fest in Georgetown on Tuesday if both teams come to play.

Defense intensity has picked up over the last couple of games for Central and things look good on that end. Rebounding, I think we can hold our own with Cozart and Gerald on the boards. Offensively, if we can play with pace, and take care of the ball, we can put points on the board. We have multiple players that can put 15-20 points on the board on any night, so we aren't relying on that one scorer to do it all for them.

My biggest concern, and I think what will decide the game for Central, is can they take care of the ball. Unforced turnovers is what concerns me, when we try to play 100 miles per hour, we tend to force drives to the basket or squeeze passes that aren't there. Against a team like Scott Co, you can't have multiple empty possessions down the court or you will find yourself down 10 pts in a hurry.

A lot of the offensive flow will fall on Isaiah Minter, and I look for him to have a nice bounce back game after really not being effective the last 2 games. If he controls the pace of the offense, and we don't try to force things, as we have done at times this year, then I think this will be a very completive game.

So............I am picking Central to steal one here with a win by 3. If your in the gym let me know, like to meet some BGP'ers

I had the pleasure of seeing Scott County this weekend against Evansville Boss. Scott County is a problem a big problem. That is a well oiled machine, and they have that "thing" about them. I don't know about Moreno's college career and where he is going and all that stuff but as a high school player, he is as best as they come in the state.

I look for Scott Co. at home by double digits. I'm really looking at the Scott Co. @ Bryan Station Saturday to see who is #1 in the 11th region.

Thanks. for some reason I had in my mind that the SC/BS game was Friday, I would have been a day early.

I really like both of these teams, I'm sure both coaches will have their teams ready to play. Cozart will have to have a huge game at both ends for Central to win, I'll give the nod to the home team by 8 points. Should be another super HS game.

My prediction.......This could come down to who has the ball on the last possession . Both are highly talented teams and with great coaches. I expect the gym to be packed for this one.

hence the two losses to Bryan Station and the one to Lafayette, both teams can make you play faster than comfortable.

But Scott Co, while very athletic, isn't particularly quick beyond Stewart and they won't make you play overly fast.

Against the best teams, a lot of SC's transition comes from long rebounds more than pace or turnovers; and MC tends to get in the paint a lot (not just with Cozart) and misses are shorter.

I think the pace can be kept down vs. Scott Co.

Having said that, I think Scott County just has too many talented scoring options so will consistently be tough to beat in a close game. MC competes tough but SC goes on a run in the 4th: SC 69, MC 59.

That's exactly what happened. If we control that, then we have a better chance. The runs are awful important to keep under control as well. You might slow down Scott Co. with our "D" but, they are going to score and we need to make sure every possession on the offensive end counts. I have seen Scott Co. play 3 times this year, there is no doubt they are the real deal, but I also believe Central has the players to play with anybody in the state. Can't wait for tonight, win or lose I am hoping both teams play their best and it's a great game.:ylsuper:
