Carr def deserved a tryout. Maybe Grant doesn't play the toughest schedule but I think he has proven that he deserved a chance to go up against the best in the state and see how he stacked up. Guess it is a moot point if he is having surgery. Hope that goes well.

Didn't look like a tip in to me. What I saw was a South Player tip the ball (Sherry I think), a Collins player got the ball after that and shot it from right at the basket. Very, very long .5 seconds in my opinion. Would love to see the tape. Hats off to Collins for not giving up when they were down for most of the game. Collin's Buddy Johnson had 34 points-27 from behind the arc. Congrats to SO on the win.

I watched Williams play last night. If he isn't the best freshman in region, I'd love to know who is. The kid can flat out play.

I don't think he has changed from your description. A very in your face style of coaching and very emotional. However, from what I hear the Grant Co people seem to like him.

Looking forward to your report. I heard a rumor that several of these players have indicated that a 28 year old AAU coach is their guardian. I hope you can find out if this is the case or not.

I am not judging at all. Don't have enough info to judge. I am curious and a little concerned about the kids based on things I have seen happen to other international players. In my opinion it is a positve that they are attending a public school and are getting educated. I hope you are right and they are in good hands. Time will tell.

BF, in post #70 you mention Williams as being in the top 10 and in this post you say he is not. Are you confused?

Ok they aren't a prep school but I still wonder where do they live? I assume their parents are not with them so do they have guardians? Do they pay tuition at BCHS? Seems very odd.

I get a very bad feeling about this. What kind of education are these boys getting? Why were they asked to leave Scott Co and Breathitt Co? Where are they living and who is paying for this? According to previous post, the coach is hard on them and gets the most out of them and evidently they practice many hours. Is anyone looking out for the players best interest? I have personal knowledge of some very very bad situations at prep "schools" and am very leary of them.
