John Hardin gets their heads out of their rear ends and score a TD. They lead NH 10-6.

If you base this game on what has happened between these two teams as Freshman and Sophomores, JH should put a running clock on NH. I am very interested to see if this happens. JH still hasn't found a starting QB, so both of them will split time this week. One of them needs to step up and win the starting job.

Very disappointed in John Hardin this week. I didn't expect them to win but I thought they would compete better than they did. They should roll this week.

BG will win this one, if for no other reason, JH's offensive line. I hope the line doesn't crumble under the pressure they are going to see, but I am afraid they will. I do believe JH has some very good athletes, but that won't matter if they can't block BG. Good news for JH is this will be the best team they play all year.

Always great to see the Central Hardin/Meade County rivalry in full swing before the season starts.

I would be surprised if it is 42-7 like Big Saucy said. That being said, I am concerned the Offensive Line may not be able to handle the pressure BG will bring, especially first game of the year. Most people may disagree with me, but I think JH has the athletes to compete with anyone. I can't give a score, but I think BG wins.

Agree with this. Can't wait to see them play BG. Should let JH know where they are. I do think egos will be a problem this year.

They have a very good QB and the usual amount of athletes. Not sure how good they will be though.

I don't think that unit will bring a lot of people in. Maybe a few players but probably not significant. What are the numbers this year? For football, I was tracking good numbers for the Junior and Senior classes (20+ kids). It is sad seeing a school that a few years ago had 1,200 kids reduced to 900 kids.

Harry Doyle gave a great breakdown of what is returning for JH in 2016 in the 4A Preseason top 10 poll. John will be right there in the end. Tons of talent. Speed, athleticism, experience and hopefully hungry. I am tracking the Witherspoon kid will be back this year at QB, so he may struggle a bit early. After he gets comfortable back there, JH should be one of the best teams in 4A.

Easily an A+. When your closest game is a 3 TD victory when you have significant injuries, that's impressive. No team in 4A could touch this team last year.

I've heard he'll be back at John Hardin and will play football. But I'm sure that can easily change.

I'm not in the loop like I used to be but I'm tracking he will be back at JH next year.

Great post Harry and spot on. I'm confident they will replace the secondary losses. Smalling and Witherspoon should fill in nicely there. Also Cleveland can play cornerback if necessary. I just hope the young lineman learned from last year and hit the weights this winter.

I'll pipe in here and say John Hardin is potentially as talented as they have been in several years. Huge Junior and Senior classes with athletes all over the field. All skill positions are back with depth at these positions. Only question is if the Witherspoon kid comes back and starts at QB. He will be rusty early on after missing last year, but by the end of the year you won't want to play JH.

JH had its chances to win this one. Not only is the Region wide open, the 17th District is wide open IMO with JH, NH, and CH all capable of winning it. I think JH gets it done when they play NH again.
