1. South Warren vs. 6A Apollo

2. Johnson Central vs. Capital (WV)

3. Wayne County at 5A North Laurel

4. John Hardin vs. 6A North Hardin

5. Franklin-Simpson at 3A #6 Caldwell County

6. Hopkinsville at West Creek (TN)

7. Knox Central vs. 3A #7 Waggener at Corbin

Very disappointed in John Hardin this week. I didn't expect them to win but I thought they would compete better than they did. They should roll this week.

It really is just the reality of Bowling Green. They're an absolute freight train this year.

I still think John is team to beat to get to state and who ever wins west side of state rolls in state Johnson Central will not @have the speed to stay with either JH or South

Could not agree more. I'm sure NCC would be on this list if they were 4a though. I look for the Eagles to be ready for district play, and playoffs, after tough out of district games against NCC, a good Holy Cross (Covington) team and 6a Conner.

They will have a tall task in beating South Warren...

Great Question Tommy! It has been drug through the mud before but a short answer is this:

 

How would South stack up to BG this year? I think it would be a very good game as BG would easily be the absolute best team on South's schedule by a rocket ship ride. South would be in the Top 4 of BGs schedule for sure; maybe 2; maybe not. Its hard to say.

 

Why don't they play? So many have asked this. They play in EVERYTHING else including JV and FROSH football. If you ask a BG fan, most would say South is dodging them:taz:. If you ask a South fan, most would say BG wouldn't sign Coach Smith's contract to play them:taz:. Honestly, a majority of it at this point is hearsay turning into reality.

 

But in 2017, it won't matter anymore as South will move up to 5A and will be in the same district with BG and they will settle it on the field.

You are right about 1 thing, BG would be the best team on the SW schedule.

I think right now it would be a toss up between @ Cent. Hardin and @ Franklin Simpson. I also agree that SW would be second or third on the BG schedule. X being 1 and not sure how good the big O is this year. Owensboro is ALWAYS a hard place to win at during the regular season.

I just like seeing good football teams trying to play against other good football teams.

I have no clue about South and JH jv scores....

You could be right about N. Hardin but not sold on them yet and plus the game is at SW. Don't know anything about team from TN
