  1. I know you two seemingly resolved this but England did not play more than 5 snaps against Cooper and it wasn't until the 4th quarter. Also, Bateman did not play against Cooper so Ryle was using their 3rd RB. I'm not sure if Ryle would beat Cooper 9/10 times....maybe 8 :walk:
  2. I dont think Beechwood could beat Simon Kenton or Ryle...IMO. If you are ranking off of current team/hot streak/etc.. Highlands Dixie SK Ryle Beechwood Cov Cath Cooper Campbell Boone
  3. It was 42-14 at half. Ryle scored with 2 sec left in 2nd quarter. Chisolm kid had 7 TD's, I believe.
  4. You must have not seen the Chisolm kid from Ryle....
  5. I say Dixie. They have a senior QB and seem to be putting it together. SK is not is good offensively as they have been in other years they were good. Dixie 28 SK 17
  6. I like your optimism but i dont believe England runs a 4.65 on a good day. That is fast in NKY HS football. He is not slow, but he is very powerful if he wants to be. He does have great numbers however. Looking to more great things from #7
  7. How can a team playing Highlands prove they are better than SK?
  8. Three things i take away from this list: 1) Floyd is not a top corner; he may have top talent but its not playing out very well 2) Is Dixie that good? they have 6 people out of top 26...more than HHS? 3) Where are Cov Cath players (2)?? Didnt they trounce Dixie? I think the RB at Cooper was more impressive than Powell...at least vs Ryle. Also, if there is debate about this Beechwood player not being one of the top WR in NKY, how about Arnwine from Ryle which has 500 receiving yards or so and has about 6 or 7 TD's. Just throwing that name out there...
  9. Cooper wouldnt come within 3 TD's of Cov Cath
  10. So the HC misses tackles, throws interceptions, misses FG's, gets driven off of the ball, misses assignments? I don't believe in calling players out by name but to put sole blame on staff is absurd. The young Ryle team is just gaining confidence, experience, and is going to be a tough out the rest of the season. There is no one on that team that is thinking about packing it in at 2-5...they are thinking home playoff game.
  11. Is this ever going to end with you. You are so "hellbent" on grinding an ax with this alleged problem at Ryle. Hey people, Hellbird is the guy who still says #7 would be an awesome TE. He can't be wrong; Get real dude...Ryle, regardless of the coach, could be 5-2. The mistakes have come on the field but they are improving every week. Just wish they had a second chance to play Cooper. Wait...they will be in Ryle's district next year!!
  12. Didnt that come after the fumble? If not, fine...you have 10 ploints.
  13. Take away two fourth down conversions, a fumble from the QB, and a knee down from the punter...SK has 7 points. I can play that game too.
  14. How many games have you watched Ryle play, Clyde the Glide? Ryle has improved each week and lost 3 winnable games; Cooper, Shelby, and SK. Once Ryle figures out how to win...the sky is the limit. Ala, SK in 2008... what was their record before going on the great run??
  15. DUH...Had it not been for Coopers offense, Ryle would have won the game...duh
  16. Ryle scrimmaged Bryan Station. Scott County is on a different level than Station. All Bryan Station has is a QB. Just because they barely lost to Highlands doesnt mean they are good. Just because Lafayette barely lost to Scott County doesnt mean they are that good. NKY has traditionally handled Lexington 6A with the exception of Scott County. So I will say, NKY 6A is always behind Louisville but never behind Lexington.
  17. It rained Thursday morning, game was friday night. Plus, do you live in Union?
  18. I guarantee Coopers coach/AD did not reach Ryle to switch game fields. Its fine, no excuses are being made. Simply stating field was in horrible condition before the first snap and it hadnt rained in 36 hours or so. Good luck to cooper the rest of the season.
  19. The field was appalling. The grass wasnt cut and was soaking wet at kickoff.
  20. Get off of your soapbox about TE. Go coach at Ryle if you think he should play TE. We've been hearing it for three years....
  21. There must have been a monsoon in west union. Field was atrocious.
  22. #2 for Station is extremely agile. Not a true QB but extremely effective. Offensive line is very weak. Defense is suspect as well.
  23. Two teams that could deserve slight consideration; 2009 Simon Kenton who lost to St. X (eventual state champion) in the Regional finals and 2010 Ryle who lost to Trinity (eventual state champion) in the state semifinals. Both teams had division 1 players and set many school records.
  24. Oh, and the dads on here arguing about freshman football...smh
