The point is, it was recognized that the pool was dry and the Union Raiders were established, 5 years ago. That first group are now juniors and ready to take the program back to where it was a short time ago. Ryle will not be a favorite to win the district but if they claim 1st or 2nd, few people will be surprised.

I cant believe there are T and X fans (mostly T) who are justifying kids playing for their program, living in another state. Bylaw 16: Recruitment/Undue Influence Influencing a student shall include the promise or instilling the expectation of an athletic advantage, playing time, employment of the student or the student’s parents or relatives, housing for the student or the student’s parents, scholarships or financial aid for which other members of the student body are not generally eligible, providing other improper benefits, making improper contacts or any other material or athletic reward for which other members of the student body are not generally eligible.

He is fast, strong, athletic. This is not a position where you put a kid in HS at TE. TE's in HS are usually physical, big, and an extension of the offensive line. England if not QB, will be playing WR or his talents will be used on defense.

Are Turner's Angels referring to specific people? or parents in general. I wonder if the "Turners Angels" even had a choice in the decision or did Turner just put them on the committee for show and picked the offense he liked the most.

O'hara will be best bet for the next three years but if TCM wants to win in year 1, why would you start a soph...unless he is the best. I would imagine England gets the nod unless O'Hara impresses the new coach.

How can you expect anything different when there were allegedly two parents on the interview committee. Also, the athletes were given an opportunity to voice what they wanted as a head coach. I'm not complaining about the hire. The process was a joke and the existing state of affairs with parents won't change. Winning fixes everything but can they win now!

Controversy is not a popular word at Ryle. It is easier to trim the fat.

Ryle may not want Woolf. They may be exhausting all options...I don't think there are very many. Plus, he is a tenured teacher in the building so you would think that goes pretty far.

The job was posted Dec 6. County rule, postings have to be up for 30 days before interviews can occur. On top of that, since Jan 6, Boone co has had several snow days. I would guess much hasnt taken place in the interview process. I wouldnt expect a decision until next Friday at the earliest.

Did parents complain to you about Bryson Warner and staff? Did parents complain to administration?

We've been down this road. There has not been one player who has played varsity minutes who didn't deserve it. Your source is bitter and wrong.

Parents at Ryle have agendas. Are you saying, as a parent, you never spoke to other parents about wanting to get rid of Bryson Warner or Allan Mullins or Patti Oliverio? Are you saying they never spoke to administration? I think all of this talk about TCM is more legit than you give credit.

I take nothing away from this coach and what he has accomplished. If Ryle passes up Mike Woolf for the head coach from Walton Verona, the administration would be morons.

I think you'll find winning will come as the the current classes progress trough the program. Coach Warner likely would have won, so will the next guy.

Ryle did not have Jimmy or Joe in 12-13. If Siple was good enough to win with what Ryle had the past two seasons, he'd not have settled for Grant Co or been sought after for other positions.

Parents have pull and they use it. You repeatedly write how the dads on staff were a big problem. All parents on staff, with the exception of Woolf, were volunteers. They showed up, helped, and did some things that took pressure off of the coaching staff. In know way, IMO, has any volunteer dad influenced the coaching staff to play their son. Some may have had motives of doing such but was never a factor. Do you believe that the Ryle coaching staff played kids that weren't good enough to play? You think Bryson Warner and staff played kids who didn't deserve to play, thus sabotaging their win/loss record? I think this is a silly notion and had little do do with any outcomes the past 11 years.

My gut says they will hire someone outside the system, albeit Woolf would be a quality selection. This job, with the previous freshman squads moving up, is probably the most attractive job within the state of Kentucky in a while. The problem is, it's not an easy job. I disagree with you regarding the parents. They are supportive of the program, the school, and of their kids while they are a student . Selfishly they try to remove coaches because of personal beef. Parents at Ryle are similar to alumni at a college program.

Bryson Warner did more for Ryle Football than any previous coach. He made some poor decisions in 11 years but was responsible for some very successful seasons and coached some great players. It's unfortunate that Ryle parents and administration had such a strong desire to replace him. These are big shoes to fill and whoever gets hired must know that the pressure will be on early.

Pathetic offenses are a result of bad play calling, bad coaching or bad players. Which do you think it was in Union? Probably a combination of all three but Ryles problem was the same as Boone's...no quarterback.

When is the last time St. X or Trinity hasnt played for the title?

I assumed that you had talked to players/parents of players, but in fact you talked to parents not even involved in the program and we are supposed to believe you and your sources? Players who play on the team currently with dad coaches/volunteers at any level: Belk, Woolf, Lamping, Abshire, Ross, Brenier (GP), Rabe. Belk, Woolf, and Ross started the whole season as juniors and played as sophomores. Abshire played JV mostly until recently was promoted to varsity at WR. Where is the problem? Where is the unfair and preferential treatment you are referring to?

So are you one of those people who spread rumors. So, A Ryle player (who does not deserve to start) and a ryle parent (who thinks johnny is the next coming) tells you they are getting screwed and you write that on bluegrasspreps. You sir are not very bright.
