So, you would risk injuring a kid from an opposing team because of a coaches decision. This is high school baseball; freshman at that, not the pro's.

It's not that he can't play. He just shouldn't play. If it makes a coach proud to play his top talent down a level to win, then that's his decision. A dumb one, but that's his decision. How does it sound for little Johnny to brag that "I'm so good, I got to move down from JV to help the developing freshman team win their tournament ." ...................Stupid is as stupid does.

And if you are considered to be the best, then don't step down off that level. By bringing down the studs, you're developing the other freshman boys to get to the level to create a talented team by the time they are all seniors. Play your talent up......It's common sense.

several teams have freshman boys playing JV and they will NOT come down just for the freshman tourney. If they're good enough for JV, it does no good for overall development to bring them back down to win a freshman tournament. Let the boys who have been playing strictly freshman ball play to win the freshman tourney.

Haven't had the chance to see Ryle's JV squad yet. How is Jake Z pitching? He's been very impressive in the past, and as a freshman he should be tough in years to come.

If you noticed my original post, it started with a focus on the game. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings by replying to TOG's post. GET OVER IT! I have nothing agains CCH as a school, I've even considered sending my boys there before because of the excellent academic program. It's just certain parents and fans that I can't stomach. Because I speak my mind about someone else's opinion of a game, it doesn't equal crying about anything. The only crying I see are the responses to my opinion. I am laughing my tail off reading and replying to you all. My opinion is mine! Sorry if you don't like it. Actually I'm not sorry because I really don't care if you do or don't. It's a blog for goodness sake. Get back to the game topic please!

I agree Clyde, no sensitivity here just tired of TOG. I think TOG has rubbed too many people the wrong way, and as a freedom of speech, some are just giving it back to him. I may be wrong, but even when he credits an opposing team he seems to find a way to divert the attention back to CCH with lame excuses or unnecessary praises to overshadow the thread topic of a CCH loss. JMO

Walks are not free trips. How about giving the batters the credit for having plate discipline! Once you're on 1st, you still have to work to get around the bags. Or better yet, how about let's blame CCH coaching staff for leaving a pitcher in to walk 8 batters. That's what a sore loser would do..:ohbrother:

Mike is one of, if the not the best around the area. I highly recommend him if you want results, I just wish his facility was a bit closer.

I understand what you're saying, and every coach has their method. A good coach will have many years of success and be respected by most in the community. And that is a perfect example of Coach Downs. Bobby Knight, will ride a ref until the saddle falls off..............Good or Bad coach?

The scoreboard was incorrect throughout the night due to mechanical reasons. You say 21-12, We say 21-15 (I like our book better). Either way it would have been nice to finish out the game, but I understand that it was too late for the boys on a school night.

This coach is in the basketball circuit period. There is no "LINK"! You apparently are not familiar with the area as well as others speaking the truth about your accusations. If you go to any high school, you will see that the players try to play for the same AAU team, it's no secret. No, not every player makes a high school team that maybe should, but I do know that Greg M puts talent, dedication to "High School team" through summer practice, and character at the top of his list for selecting kids, not AAU affiliation. Of course Todd is going to coach his own son, why not? You have struck a match with little flame, so let it burn out.

Nice complex, but infield grass was way too high and grass down the base paths reminds me of tee ball.
