  1. Not sure if they are a down program or just one with boundries determined by the Department of Education. Catholic High School don't have boundries and drawn from multiple cities, counties and even states. Just saying, should be admired for working with what you have and not what you imported...........Go public schools who insist on legal residency to play.
  2. A big shout out to the Big Trains for coming out and playing even at a 49-0 deficit. Something to be said about players who have the heart and determination to go out day after day and compete with little to no hope of a victory over the majority of the teams they play. Character building for the future.
  3. talk among my dughter's friends is that several freshman didn't return along with a couple of upperclassman. could be good opportunity for the freshman and sophmores to see varsity time based on numbers which was unheard of in the past for most players. let's see how this goes when they head to the southern part of the county where we will be awaiting the challange.
  4. Grow some Ft. Mitchell police, Newport went after Jim and Helen Hesch and destroyed their lives, she never really emotionally or physically recovered from that public display of "know what is going on in your house and on your property when it involves illegal underage activities" it cost them dearly. Helen passed away last year, still down. Your house, Your Property, plain and simple......You are responsible for what happens there....
  5. Did Lydia Stutler stay at Mason County? Rumor was she was going back to NCC due to family job relocations? She really added life to NCC as a freshman at the end of the year as their point guard but didn't see much of her last year.
  6. sounds like we hit a nerve? Players only do what they are allowed to do and it is an offical responsibility to monitor which they have done poorly when it comes to playing the girl and getting a body check in before even addressing the ball multiple times this year with many teams that I watched. Brossart is just better at it, and why not if they aren't giving out cards then do what you are allowed to do. Great Season all around enjoyed the game last night. There wasn't a down minute on either side. Hope to see more next year.
  7. I think I might make the drive and watch this one. Two different styles of play in my opinion. Brossart "bash and crash", extremely physical and Notre Dame highly skilled and very deep on the bench. They play with skill and control to a level that I see a 3-0 win for Notre Dame this evening. I caught a little of Saturdays game with NCC and I have watched Brossart several times this year. Good hustle in the Mustangs but I think this is the end of the path. With that said, who knows, let's see who comes to play tonight. Well worth the $7
  8. Way to go Camels! Sounds like all close ones. Good luck at the next level
  9. How do you know who made All Region Team already? Where would it be posted for other regions as well?
  10. Highlands appears to have the talent now they need to coaching staff to get it together on the same game plan and they will be a force down the road. Love watching the close games.
  11. Nice location, easy access and if it improves a park for the people of Alexandria for the rest of the summer and Fall ball then Great move........We camels will visit there and be home much quicker also..
  12. according to the paper Highlands had only 2 shots on goal and Ncc had 6. I know the Highlands players looked stunned as the entire first half they chuck and threw bodies within the box and there were no calls and then what appeared to be less of a body check was called. Multiple two handed shoves in the back off the play by Highlands defense. I think I got my 5 dollars worth. Highlands seemed one dimensional, kick up front to Rivers for a run on goal with a little give and go to #11 when possible. Ncc played like when they played us to penalty kicks back last month. Spread out an worked together. Both games exciting. Enjoyed watching my daughters friends on both teams and it was hard and fast play from the beginning to the end.
  13. and as a bonus you got to watch the Lady Breds play one of their best games all year while beating the Lady Birds 2-0........
  14. That is how St. Henry beat NCC 1-0 in the pouring rain with only playing a half....the one lone goal came off a controversal no call off sides by 5 to 10 feet and caught them standing in the mud as St. Henry tapped the goal. Off sides has been missed numerous times this year and the side line judge responded with a laugh and "wasn't that a nice run" comment. He was side ways and missed it in the rain. Hate to see a close game come down to something like that. NDA is a joy to watch as they spread out and pass and work together with skill and don't rely on physical assults and borderline calls. Sounds like I missed a good game. Hope to catch that match up again down the road. Enjoy both styles of play.
  15. I hope you and Crystal work through this together. She is a strong young lady and looked out for you when you were little and moved to Kentucky and were staying with your Grandmother. Your dad was a very dedicated father who did anything and everything to stay in and be part of his children's lives. Continue to make him proud!
  16. Time to have one player determine the destiny of a team........poor goalie seems it should be an open net shoot out from farther out or maybe with a moving target in goal to show skill of the offense.....just a random thought to make it more interesting.
  17. I thought it was just the girls high school games that were out of control.......so many missed off sides, I mean by 5 or 10 feet off sides. Slide tackling from behind and side which resulted in injuries with no foul called.......
  18. Pipline to NewCath seems to run through St. Joe's, sorry Brossart you will need to have the younger players come to your high school Freshman practices from out of your feeder schools to showcase what you have and where you feel they will fit. 8th grader from St. Joe's attended NewCath freshman practices last year and guess where they go this year? Come on Mustangs claim your players so we Camels can enjoy a solid rivalry for years to come.
  19. I refreshed my old memory last night by asking my daughter who played softball with Casey, yes, Casey did wear a NCC uniform as a 6th grader as Lincoln 6th graders were not allowed to play on the Middle School/Freshman team they had that year. She played against my daughter who was a 7th grader at the time and she was a 6th grader wearing a NCC uniform. That can be verified as FACT from many sources, it wasn't JV or Varsity but it was a NCC team and she wore the blue and gold. She is a really good kid so I didn't want it to appear SHE did anything wrong, the opportunity presented itself and she played. Just odd she was in an NCC uniform in 6th grade, Dayton uniform in 7th and 8th and NCC in 9th. Just sayin' Hope both girls have a good careers up on the hill.
  20. Hoover not returning for her senior year? Hadgedorn girl not coming back after sitting out Jr. year for knee surgery??
  21. My daughter played on her fast pitch team when she was younger and she is probably the only girl from Lincoln Elem/Dayton who plays for NCC so I think you know the girl. I don't believe in posting specific names unless it is a compliment on playing or an achievment. No explaination is needed. It happened and it is over. I know my daughter also played with your NCC goalie on a Kings team several years ago but she was going to Highlands with her teamates until she played 8th grade soccer at NCC and decided to change her schools, it seems to be working out for her, however it is odd and I was very shocked to see her in goal when we played you all last week as she is an excellent defender and continues to play field with our club.
  22. wow, it was as exciting as the NCC game last week against Camels....well fought to the end. Congrats to the Lady Stangs.
  23. That is a shame that parishes knowingly sign a document saying someone is a parish member knowing they already belong to St. Joe's or St. Mary's and is only seeking to play sports. I think it means only the parent must belong because several years ago a girl who attended Lincoln Elem. played JV softball for NCC and wasn't baptized until her Freshman year at NCC so she wouldn't have been a parish member as she wasn't Catholic. I am glad I just send my students to public school within my boundries and know at the end of the day it is the ethical and right thing as I choose not to pay tuition to attend another public or private school. Thanks for the update on KHSAA.
  24. What 4 NCC girls played Kings together? They ranged in age from Freshman to Senior on the field so they couldn't have played on the same team?
