What if your school plays in a loaded district and finishes a 3 or 4 seed, and are a better team than most if not all teams in the other district you are paired with in the playoffs? Yes, there is blowouts, but in some cases it does bring the best teams in the region deeper in the playoffs. Do you think its fair for kids who play for good teams to sit at home while others are still playing that they know are not as good of a team, simply because they play in a stronger district and don't finish as a 1 or 2 seed?

Hate to see this rivalry come to a close. How many years have they played? The Paris fan they interviewed said it was because Bourbon was a bigger school and a higher class was part of it, I think every Class A school plays larger schools, that shouldn't be the reason if it is.

Paintsville did a great job preparing for Nicholas last week and they put up a fight they have some pretty good kids

Nicholas opened up with Lewis and they were a good team. Seemed to struggle a little after that, glad to see them back on track. Congrats Lewis Co.

How good was Fairview in the past with local kids only? I believe even sorry little Nicholas Co. used to beat up on them. I'll will be glad when next Friday gets here to see the results, will be keeping an eye on this one someone please keep the updates posted. Ram has a point about winning with some humility and character it earns a lot more respect. I have seen this first hand with a guy who left N.C. and needed a job at Fairview and was given help from the coaching staff and school personnel to get the job, and know he is disrespectful to our fans and players just like the rest of them. Good fit I guess.

This should be one of the best games in the state this year. It will be physical simply because of the rivalry and there's a lot riding on this one. I believe there will be a new district champion. Rams over Eagles 30-20

No rain, but the Rams fans were prepared, I did see a few umbrellas carried in lol!! Glad you didn't have to open them. First time I can say that after a lopsided game, that the opposing team, coaches, and fans showed class. Wished I could say this about the rest of our schedule. Good luck with the rest of your season and the playoffs, could possibly see you down the road. Hope you have a party all the way down 23 next week.

Congrats Rams! Very strong showing, look like the start of a great game for about 4 minutes, then it was all Raceland from there. Hope #20 is okay. Despite the score this was a very physical game from both teams. Good luck next week, is the game at Raceland or Fairview, W.V. just couldn't resist. Go RAMS beat EAGLES!!

Would really like to see this game be a good one simply because it might just mean that someone other than Fairview wins this district. A well played game could give both teams the edge to battle Fairview in the upcoming weeks, but this one has to be played first. I think the Rams have to many weapons for the Jackets.

I'm not sure about Bellevue having a schedule that is stronger than Nicholas. I'm not saying Nicholas is a top ten team, but their upcoming schedule will tell. Ludlow,Raceland,Paintsville,Fairview, and Bath. They do have a common opponent in Ludlow. Fleming and Bath would give the Tigers all they want and maybe more. Is there a tougher district in the state than Nicholas, Raceland, Paintsville, and Fairview in the state?
