I work hard to win every game, every year...I doubt anyone out works my team. I think that is desirable.

Highlands athletes try their hardest to be the best in all of the sports, but it doesn't always work out for a myriad of reasons. Let's just enjoy what we have...a lot of quality students playing sports. There is nothing better...

jpa, the injuries to Hergott & Noe are very unfortunate. I look for Martin to be the early favorite to win the 1B job. I can also see Brady Murray in the mix somewhere.

Highlands 7th led Newport by 3 at half and went on to win by 20+ using all 12 players to press the entire game and eventually wear down the Cats at their place. Birds 8th grade led from start to finish to win by 12.

Don't forget Paducah Tilghman on the road as well. The open date on the schedule will soon be filled.

Not sure if this is accurate, but someone close to that team once told me you could add about 13 pts. to his avg. Considering a lot of his shots came from the outside.

Wow! A new low on here...Let's see Ryle & Boyle drop Highlands so their training methods must be corrupt. Yeah, sounds logical. You have no clue what you are talking about.

As far as Highlands strength of schedule last yr. do not forget they hosted 2011 6A runner up Scott Co. I think that was a good game for both. I'm pretty sure most Boyle & Cov.Cath. fans would disagree with Jolmstead on his opinion that Elder was the only competitive game the Birds played last season. Heck, Boyle was up 9 at half & CCH also held an early lead and played hard to the end. Highlands works hard to put together a challenging schedule each yr. There is a team from Louisville that may replace Boyle on the schedule for 2013. Bottom line if someone is anti-Highlands then their comments towards them will be negative and vice versa...Oh well...reality I guess.

Revised brackets were sent to AD's & coaches...the tourney was postponed due to weather yesterday and therefore changes had to be made to the schedule. If your team is still in it you may want to check with your coach.

How can a school district tell a parent ( their customer not their keeper) they cannot drive their own kids to an event? Hmmm...

I think they are having a good season so far! I am simply biased that's all.

Absolutely cannot wait to watch the Highlands 6th grade team play next year as 7th graders!

1. Ever since I can remember BB has always played good basketball. 2. Saunders & Company are Really good players 3. If they continue to play this well Montgomery Co. is in for a game as is the rest of the 10th. 4. Very good coaching goes on at BB - boys and girls 5. The thing on Turners head looks painful. 6. It was probably mask, teeth, head...everything that contributed to the wound. 7. Masks are worn in bball, just pArt of the game. 8. Brossart has a quality team and should have fun with it!

Highlands 7th grade beat Holy Cross 44-38. Game was very physical.
