The Birds travel to the Sydome tonight for a matchup with Coach Code and the Stangs.

 

Gametimes have been changed due to a mixup with the 10th Region officials.

Frosh 5pm

JV 6:30pm

Varsity 8pm

 

The Birds are playing fast and furious this season and are coming off a tough 1 pt loss to Dixie. I expect a tight game that may get a little physical at times.

 

Witte / Saunders will be a good matchup if they pair off.

 

Is Uebel healthy? Heard he may have an ankle issue.

 

Birds will have their hands full with the Stangs Bigs in Burns/Trentman. Nick True will have to continue to score in the paint.

 

Turner and Houliston have been nails from the FT line. I would like to see Witte get back into the flow offensively and also get to the line, he is a very good FT shooter.

 

 

Sydome is a very tough place to play. I am going to call this as a low scoring affair and tight. The Stangs have taken the last 3 or 4 meetings so the Birds will be looking to get off the snide and turn the tables.

It should be a close game. I think there will be more points scored than what Q thinks. Coach Code is a teacher at Highlands so it always creates a nice crowd and a fun atmosphere. Last year at Highlands, the Mustang Maniacs dressed in their best bakers clothing and presented the Highlands fans with a sheet cake that featured an image of Pat Towels. I know that Brossart is so far south some Fort Thomas residents may be hesistant to make the trip, but you can take the family and swing by the old Thriftway for Chirstmas in Alexandria. I always love listening to the announcers, they do a GREAT job, but I will be at our big rival game against MoCo tonight.

I may make it over to this one tonight. I've heard Saunders is playing well and been wanting to see how that Jr. class is looking for Brossart. Always tough to watch Highlands their first few games, but it sounds as if the footballers are already looking like hoopsters. I'm calling the game a pick!
