  1. I think Dixie wins. Numbers and speed will be too much for the tigers. 35-17
  2. Oh jack, I'm just wondering if I'll see you in an HHS shirt tonight at Dixie. What number is your kid so I can watch how well he plays?
  3. Lol, you mean Durham was to big, to fast. But like you were told last year, guess what???? Your a 6A team, your supposed to beat a 2A school. I'm sure you camel fans enjoyed watching NCC run to a state title while your season was over.
  4. I agree, wrobleski could help NCC at outside lb. Harris would be a nice backup to Moore or sutkamp at rb. Greene could rotate in at WR. Here's some knowledge for ya, a 5-3 defense is designed for the mike lb to make all the tackles. While Thomas is a great kid and a good football player, he's not in sutkamps league. Sutkamp had 22 tackles Friday night playing on half the field. He would have had 50 tackles in that game Saturday for HHS against uc. He would have knocked 4 kids out of the game. By the way, wasn't Derek smith (te) a silver grove kid?
  5. Then you clearly live in a world different then the rest of us. Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, California are better football than Kentucky. We have one team, maybe two that could beat a top 20 school from either of those states. I'm not including HHS in that, I'm talking trinity or st. X. The beat down HHS took from trinity in the scrimmage shows you what the best teams from those other states would do to HHS.
  6. Somebody help sweeper out, he cant keep up with the convo even thougt its in print.
  7. Is this bluebirdpreps? Seriously, im lol at how is easy it is. And for the genious who made the depth comment, ncc played more than 25 kids friday, compared to only 16 in the state final the previous season. Also, the wrs r fine. Didnt need em friday, ncc moved the ball at will on the ground. Boy oh boy, i hope those ppl at cov cath are reading these posts.
  8. No, I'm saying they have their share of bad teams like everyone else. I think NCC would have given HHS a better game Saturday. However, due to the heat and hhs's ability to play kids both ways, game ends somewhere around 35-21 HHS. HHS getting a late score to win by 2 tds. As good as Ohio football is, they have plenty if teams that stink. Look at the beechwood Goshen score lol.
  9. I'm guessing people were expecting more due to the fact the HHS faithful were doing their best to hype this team as a quality opponent for HHS. Makes them look better if everyone else believed they were. IDE find it hard for any team to beat HHS with a sophomore QB making his first start a million miles from home lol.
  10. As I said in another thread. This is the team NCC was going to play. Coach eviston felt very confident that NCC could play or even beat this team, even with replacing as many players as NCC had to this season. This game ended as most of us expected. I'm sure Florida has its fair share of bad programs.
  11. I look at it like this. Who does more with less. Now, before the sensitive males get on here and say I'm bashing (raiderbird, 75center, jackofalltrades and most other HHS fans), towels was a very good high school QB. However, put barker at HHS and he probably passes for 4000 yards and gets offered by Alabama. Is towels as successful playing at Conner? Probably not. Would be funny if a Conner QB and HHS QB go to same school and the Conner QB becomes the starter, time will tell.
  12. Lets hope so. After you guys have put so much pressure on this poor kid. Shame on all of you.
  13. Oh, I'm sorry, was the title of ths thread: Can Houliston be the next great Highlands QB? So plz don't mention any other names....?
  14. Lol, I'm not being negative. I said he is a descent QB. It's one game and you guys are already crowning this kid as an all-time great. Talk about putting pressure on a kid....Jeesh Let him win the 4A title first at least.
  15. I like it, I don't like you. If you don't want others opinions, then stick to bluebirdpreps.......
  16. Of course it sounds silly to you, I'm not surprised. Forgot to mention this, wasn't lorenzen a Taylor mill kid? Once again, sorry Scott high.
  17. See, this is what you have to deal with, with these HHS fans. You know how easy it is to stick a kid in that offense and be good??? Sure, he's a descent QB, but HHS has had some special players at QB over the years. This kid isn't one of them. If franzen from NCC was in that offense at QB, you guys would be saying he should forgot about college cause he will be the next #1 pick in the nfl draft lol. Get over yourselves, please. Listen, you better start worrying about cov Cath and forget where this QB stands in the hierarchy of HHS QBs.
  18. Yes, but you left mayfield off. I'm sure they feel they are #1 in 1A, 2A and 3A.
  19. Yes, the CCHS guy is annoying, but he does do s good job. Best I've heard, Walton veronas guy.
  20. Sure, I'll take playmakers all day. However, not playing your technique and freelancing will get to beat 10 outa 10 times. I wouldn't say, outside of smith, I didn't really see any playmakers Friday yet, and i stress YET. I saw some kids do some really good things. There is some serious potential in franzen, lyon, sutkamp, enslen and neff, just to name a few, to be playmakers. Quite a few sophomores had some significant playing time and did some really good things. Mexi hit the nail on the head, tackling has to be cleaned up and it most certainly will.
  21. Some kids play their position better. I'm sorry, it's not all about being in on tackles. You have to be able to line up right and do what the coaches ask you to do. Quite honestly, some kids practice better than others and deserve the playing time. Tallons time will definitely continue to improve. He Had a great summer and showed no reason Friday night to not play more. Neff also did some good things, from talking with the coaches, he just needs to work on his technique. I would expect him to have a very good year. People haven't said much about this player, but Steve brooks was probably the defensive MVP of that game. He was out standing.
