That's where the problem lies....with the AAU coach filling these kids heads with that Oscar Myers Baloney. You can't play for me if you don't play fall, summer, winter and spring. Is a joke. I had a summer league basketball coach try to tell my freshman QB not to lift with the football team over the summer. I told that player to have the coach call me personally so we could discuss it. Never got the call......now to combat AAU, high school basketball can go year round. It's obviously been a major problem at NCC.

I'm sorry, IDE expect exactly what happened last season. Get blown out in the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs. I'm not sure they would beat Lloyd this year.

That's hilarious. Dixie should be much better than cooper. I feel better about NCC beating cooper than beating Dixie.

Absolutely agree. Teams should be seeded based on final season rankings. 1 should play 2 in the finals. Will never get done, biggest reason I suspect they would use, money.

That's the problem with so many of these kids today, why limit yourself. Kids don't understand, as well as the parents, There are no guarantees in sports.

Listen, I know Dylan and I know his dad, so i mean no disrespect here. But are you out of your mind? He did very little against the NCC freshman team last year, and at no point did you say that he was that fast. Sorry, the eye in the sky don't lie. If he is half the player his dad was, he will be special. I'll give you that. But I'm sorry, no way in hell he ran a 4.3 forty. Ide be surprised if he could run a sub 4.6 at his age. This has been discussed thoroughly in another post. The stringer kid at this point in their careers is head and shoulders better. Now, lets see where they are at when they are both seniors, Powell may pass him up. The best player on that frosh SK team last season was the RB, norton. He was at NCC in the spring, but I believe he has since left there as well. He's the brother of the Brossart catcher that was drafted in baseball.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you on this. I hate to say it, but beechwoods frosh team was pretty darn good. Was as good a freshman team I've ever seen. Most those kids were 2 year starters on the frosh team and some were 3 year starters. Hard to compete with that. Not to mention, the stringer kid is a stud. I'm sure that's gonna upset some SK fans, sorry......

Being close to beating trinity doesn't count. The fact that you would bring that up shows how good that program really is. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Also, trying to compare programs through the freshman teams really doesn't mean anything. It's no indication of what's going to happen when those kids are seniors. Ryle really has no excuse not to win, the talent Is definitely at that school, I think the problem with Ryle lies else where.

Because the ky teams don't want get beat 70-0. As for the out of state teams, unless your on par with a program like moeller your not going to play them either.

Yes, they are independent. Was pointing out some of the reasons these public independent schools are successful, ei beechwood and HHS. My point being, the kids leave these other districts to play at these schools and not vise versa. Hence, the reason Lloyd is struggling. Lloyd's middle school team has been very good recently. Their youth league has always been very competitive. Half the coaching staff at beechwood, Lloyd grads lol. Or it was. That's for another post..... Listen, I'm not advocating closing em down. I believe parents or the kids should play where they want to. It sure would be interesting though if these kids had to stay put.

Trinity by far is the best football in the state of ky. No other school in the state could play their schedule and be as successful as they are. They could win a state title in the biggest class in almost any state, no other school in the state can claim that. Sorry hhs fans, not even close. the biggest disappoint to me in this state is, cov cath. How can u not be able to beat hhs year in and year out and not win titles? What really means dynasty, lifetime? Last 10 years? If u talk last 10 years, hhs, trinity and ncc are unmatched.

Ask yourselves this. How many kids leave ft thomas to play at cchs? How many kids leave ft mitchell (beechwood) to play at lloyd? They dont, its the other way around.

Lol, I got questioned when I mentioned Scott county in another post.... Yes, SK, Dixie and Boone will be much better than CCHS. I think putting cchs in top 10 is a major reach. Simon should be the favorite with Dixie a close second. The Dixie QB is pretty special.

Any year they would have been in 4A, they would have lost. I'm not saying they wouldn't win in 3A, I'm saying just not as many as they have in a 6 class system. I know this, in a 4 class system im taking the field to win it over hhs. with 6, ill pick hhs every year. Anyway, it is what it is......broke

Easy, are they really even the second best program. Wouldn't st. X and Scott county be better programs. I'm sure the bowling green fans would have something to say. If there were only four divisions HHS wouldn't have nearly the amount of state titles. Wouldn't change anything for trinity, they would dominate 4A the same way. With that being said, NCC would be in the same boat if there were only 4.

I haven't read this whole thread, but here's my 2 cents. NCC has to be put in, since 2000 they have played in almost every 1A or 2A title game. HHS for sure along with trinity. Lets be real, just like the debate of why NCC and hhs won't play, you can ask why HHS WON'T play trinity (when it counts). HHS knows better. NCC and HHS are the 2 most successfull programs in NKY, generally considered the best football in the state. Although, trinity trumps both of them, hands down. Anytime, when the majority if your roster are kids that live outside your district, your are going to be successfull.

T What the hell you mean by the weakest state champion? NCC beats mayfield and the 3A state champ last year, gimme a break. Dont forget they had to go on the road and beat a very good somerset team. Sure the score was close against Caldwell, NCC was banged up and playing almost every kid both ways on a 70 degree day in December and with Caldwell two platooning its kids and a few turnovers, helped keep it close. NCC moved the ball most the game, and Caldwell only had a cpl of drives. Their first TD drive should have never gotten started due to an illegal chop block on the DE during the QB throwback pass in the end zone which should have resulted in a safety. If you have access, watch the game film again and you will see. Caldwell was very lucky that game was close. With that being said, somerset and Caldwell both were very capable of winning a championship in 1A, 2A or 3A title last season. I ask you, find another 1A or 2A school that played a tougher schedule than NCC in 2012. Caldwell should be very good this season and should be the favorite. You can't have a QB that good and not be. They should win it the next two seasons. You make my point about how weak that part of the state is in football if Caldwell was a year away from being there. If they would have played NCC in the semis, they don't make it lol. Do some research and tell me since 2000, what team has been in the 1A or 2A state title game almost every year.......I think all but one year maybe.

I would like to have played in 1A in 1990. Would have meant a state title for the juggs that season. Absolutely no doubt at all.

I think beechwood is a year away from a state title. They should win back to back in 14 and 15. Assuming NCC doesn't move down to 1A lol. Rash is a very good coach and beechwood is an excellent program.
