  1. I don't know, I'm a "what have you done lately" kinda guy. How many state title has beechwood won in the last 10 years? How many does ncc have? To compare HHS and cov Cath is not really fair either, considering they are in the same district. I know it's an if, but how many title does cov Cath have if HHS was in 5A, or cov Cath was 3A or 5A? I'm talking last 10 years. I don't care what your schools did in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's. hell, Lloyd was good then. Newport was good then. Schools and areas change, the dynamics change. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems the cool thing to do is play for a school you have no business attending. Just seems that pre 2000's, kids stayed in their areas and play for the high school in the town they grew up in.... Sorry, went on a rant there...
  2. Well, if all you want to do is be 9-3, then I guess it's a success. I don't know who you scheduled this season. Holmes was 8-2 a few years back, they played no one outside of HHS and cov Cath. It got lickert the CCHS job, guess it was a success for him. If Scott could keep their talent in house and not lose it to beechwood, they could be very competitive. They certainly have the facilities.
  3. That's because, I'm sorry to say, the three best defenders are gone. Getting shutout in a scrimmage doesn't bode well. HHS Cov Cath Simon Dixie NCC Conner Can't do a top ten, I think everyone else won't be good. Bellevue will be good, but they wouldn't beat CCHS. I am picking the tigers to beat beechwood this year, beechwood is a year away from back to back state titles. Cooper lost too much. Ryle needs a change in the coaching dept. CCHS lost everything when Durham graduated. I'm sorry, but until Scott starts playing freshman ball with big schools and not in the froshmore league, they don't deserve to be mentioned in the top 10 conversation. They do have great facilities.
  4. Just admit you got ur butts handed to you. Quit making excuses. Hell, blame the turf lol. Yes, hhs will be just fine, congrats on another 4A title.
  5. LOL. Its what everyone else expected but the hhs fans didnt. Shows you how misguided and blind they are to the reality of, YOU ARE NOT IN TRINITY'S LEAGUE.....
  6. Once again, you amuse me. Im sorry, i should have included your post, the one above i was referring to. I took for granted you were intelligent enough to figure it out. My fault, wont happen again.
  7. 75center, u amuse me lol. Not at all, i beleive the best player should aleays play. Im saying those hhs parents that have had it happen want their cake and eat it to. No pun intended for the cake eaters.
  8. So your calling zack Harris and Tyler swietzers parents awful parents? Not to mention, probably half the football teams parents. Shame on you for that.
  9. Quit honestly, you guys got just as many turds in your hallways as the next school. If the HHS fans acted with a little bit of modesty, ppl wouldn't be so quick to try and tear you down. Stop acting like your crap don't stink and maybe, just maybe we could all get along. Group hug please.
  10. Also, at NCC you won't have parents complaining about out of district kids playing in front of their kid. Trust me, would make me mad if my son came up through the ft Thomas football league to only have some kid from another town play in front of him when they got to high school.
  11. Hellbird doesn't want 4 classes. He knows if HHS got stuck in 4A with the likes of trinity, Scott county and X, the run would be over. Im sure the numbers would get fudged to somehow have them in 3A or even 2A lol. It's a joke that this state has 6 classes in football.
  12. Listen, I get it. But just because you want to close your eyes, it doesn't mean it's not going on. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....guess what, IT'S A DUCK. Here's another, where there is smoke....there is usually, wait for it.....A FIRE. And that football program, is a 50 foot inferno.
  13. Many people think that I'm a HHS hater. Quite the opposite, being one of the top football programs in the state of KY, I am very proud when their name is recognized throughout the country. I have a great deal of respect for what they have done. I also feel the same way about NCC football. They don't have quite the resume HHS has, but what they have been able to do in the last 13 years is pretty amazing. Here's my opinion on deciding to play football at either school. You can't go wrong with either program. The difference is, if you choose to play at NCC, you will play as a sophomore and maybe even as a freshman. At HHS, you might not even play as a senior. As for the other sports, at least in the last few years, NCC has been more dominant.
  14. I've not read this entire post, so if its been touched upon, forgive me. I ask this, how many high schools in NKY in the last 14 years has had to forfeit games due to an inelligible player? So don't tell me they don't cheat.... I have first hand knowledge of red devil players being invited into the HHS locker rooms by the varsity head coach. I think strawberryshakeman said in an earlier post that hhs's descision was for financial reasons to host youth football games. Maybe, but they absolutely did it for their own selfish reason to get these other out of distrct football players running to HHS. Are they wrong for that? He'll no, but once you start taking those kids into the locker room, now you are recruiting them, no other way sugar it, sorry. The sad part for the rest of the NKY teams, HHS doesn't have to recruit, kids will come regardless.
  15. This game was going to be payed between NCC and university. Thought I posted that, unless you can't read good.....I'm sure HHS jumped in when it was discovered it could be on the Ocho. I'm sorry, espnu.
  16. You guys should know, this is the team NCC was going to play. Things fell through when eviston left and wagner was hired. Had nothing to do with the coach, but because NCC dragged their feet and didnt make the hire immediately, the deal fell through. Do you think for one second HHS is going to play a team that has a chance to embarrass them on cable tv, lol? Obviuosly coach eviston felt this was a team NCC could beat.
  17. I agree with rjs, how is working out in the weight room and working on physical conditioning a bad thing? There is a post on here by dr. Andrews, the problem he sees is kids doing the same thing for 12 months straight, ie baseball and basketball. Although you are working together as a football team in the winter, your really not doing football stuff.
  18. The 2013 HHS should win every game this year by an average of 49-7. I'll be surprised if they play a game that a team is within 4 TDs. There is no sarcasm in those statements.
  19. Man, make a few comments and your a hater. Must be those huge egos. I don't hate, HHS has a great program and tradition. I'm glad to see them represent NKY football, hence the name. Nkyfootballfan91. Im a fan of all these NKY teams. I've got mad respect for what highlands has been able to do. I just think you HHS fans need to come down out of your ivory towers.
  20. I actually laughed out loud when I read this. Matter of fact, I'm still laughing as I type this.
