OldGrap......you have a Coach that does it the right way.....he knows the game, the right way to play it and gets to know the players and prioritizes in the right order. Hang on to him, he will be great for your kids and make the soccer program great ! Glad you had a great Senior night !

I know quoting yourself is not necessarily the right thing to do, but after 16 games CCH defense of Darpel, Thaemann in the middle / Massie, Flynn on the outside and Romes as GK have given up 7 total goals (and 3 of those came during times that they weren't in and one was a very questionable pk call.) So, with a 0.4375 goals against average per game, while playing one of the toughest schedules, I resubmit them for consideration ....... As a defensive team they have accomplished this, but IMHO, I also throw out consideration that if they were on another team, each would be stand outs individually.

No stats on KHSAA for St. H yet, but for Highlands: Scoring Jersey Player Goals 10 Meyer, Lindsey 1 20 Reynolds, Megan 1 Assists Jersey Player Assists 12 Dougherty, Haley 1

Clyde, I hear you......senior day 3 years a go I watched on my computer in a Lincoln Nebraska hotel room as wifey poo walked the oldest down for Senior day....then he scored one and had one assist. Then I had to go to dinner with the crew after the game......not much on small talk that day.... They don't realize it is all about the parents

Maybe the deep fryers don't work in the rain........a legitimate reason.....

The KHSAA website requires the teams to report the stats......part of the stats are players that played in the V games and it tracks how many games over the season.... Apply the eligibility to this..........if they play in over 20 % (or insert your own parameter here) they become ineligible for the JV tournament.....if a team doesn't report stats, then they aren't eligible.....two problems solved... With that said......it wouldn't apply to the Freshman tournament....the only thing you need here is Freshman or not? Just a thought.

1711 If your comment is directed at me......I have no dog in the JV tournament fight nor have I in the past.....my stance has been consistent over the past 8 years on this subject........ Of your comment above.......I was with you until "And until 2 of the junior subs came from the other game in the last 5 min we had one sub " ......so you did have at least 2 players that played a significant role on V and came for the last 5 minutes of the JV game........seems wrong...... My comments to this point weren't directed at calling out any one team.....I don't know who does and who doesn't bring them down. Some teams have the luxury of numbers, others don't........but Varsity players are varsity players and this isn't a Varsity tournament......Need numbers? Call up Frosh..... If it wasn't directed at me......sorry for wasting everyone's time...

Would love to hear who the CCH players were because, to my knowledge, it did not happen......keep in mind, that because of the size of last years junior class, CCH did have Juniors on the JV team (only), there was no group that played both, so it may have seemed like players were brought down, since Juniors were on the field.

I'm torn on the game Friday at 5pm..... CCH against St. Henry I'm hoping for a CCH 4-3 win with #14 from St. Henry having a hat trick.

Duh......but I would expect that someone invited to CCH's fund raiser before me, should have it :thumb:

Hard fought match......mostly in the rain. Goals by Litzler(2) Day(2) Assists by Austin Flynn, Nick Jacobs, (apologies if that isn't correct.....thought Day and Litzler each had an unassisted as well) Before someone asks......CCH did not man mark Snow. He is Big, fast and talented, but the speed in the back was able to key on him......he did still have a couple of chances, but mostly from distance. Easy to see why he has the offensive numbers he has......classy player. Glad to see Cooper's Keeper come back in after he went off injured in a collision with CCH play. Glad both players were just a little nicked up and not hurt more seriously. Good luck to Cooper the rest of the season ( unless we run into each other again.) Good clean play all around......
