  1. Not sure why the dimensions are what they are......width perhaps could be squeezed a yard more on each side, but the length is what puzzled me......why leave 10 to 18 yards off? Maybe it was like that 2 years ago when we were there last, but I don't remember it.....
  2. If head to head also counts......CCH played Conner tonight. Wend is big and strong, but both Darpel and Thiemann handled him pretty easily. Only one shot I believe and it went over the football goal posts....he was played straight up, not man marked, and was moved around to try to get him free........with that said, I would definitely want him on my team.......quality player....... On the other side, Day with a goal and handled the center mid very well on a short, narrow and choppy field......Litzler with a goal and an assist while being man marked by Conner's #7 all night..... Just reporting in.
  3. Sorry Clyde........ Someone Please help me if incorrect..... Goals for CCH Voet Litzler Schutt Berling Day. ( in that order) Assists....(not in order....help me if I'm wrong) Massie (2) Litzler Adam Flynn Nurre Conner scores on two CCH own goals.....headers off of restarts. First time CCH gives up more than one in a game and they score both..... Very small field tonight......one yard wider on each side than the football lines, and approx 5-8 yards shorter than the end zones........
  4. Mitch MacKnight's (CCH) first goal of the season........player comes to every practice, plays hard, supports his teammates, but doesn't get a lot of pt........comes in the game, and 30 seconds later on his first touch, sends it to the back of the net...bench goes crazy......not flashy, no bicycle, but one of the better feelings from a goal.....
  5. Don't forget the assist for the parent that drove the player to the game....
  6. Someone mentioned Hagerty's goal from Scott in another thread. Got me to thinking.. What is the best goal you've seen this year? Who and what happened......
  7. No injury lingering.... but during the game? Enough to keep him off the field for a half.... Stepover, I wasn't there......I'm commenting in general that if a player comes off hurt during the game and stays out, it is something sever enough to keep him or her out and therefore maybe shouldn't be questioned......if they go out and pop right back in, or return right away after rolling around in pain like the pros do, then that is another story......but if they sat out the second half, tough to question.....
  8. How much time was left in the game when this happened? The fact that he didn't come back into the game may show he was injured more than theatrically stated....wasn't there, don't know...but questioning injuries when the player goes out and doesn't come back in seems questionable. I can see questioning flops, or fall downs, but injuries when the player doesn't return?
  9. On a cold and rainy senior night . Covcath played only their seniors. No stats reported yet so I don't know the assists, but goals by: Macnight (1) Gharzala (1) Massie (1) Day (1) Litzler (2....one on a bicycle ) Congrats to all the CovCath and the Dixie Seniors for a great career. Finish strong boys !
  10. Terrible at predicting scores so not going to do it, but CovCath isn't looking to Summit yet....they still have the senior laden Conner on Monday night at 7:30 at Conner. Could this be the one that brings the elusive Clyde out to a game? Does he root for CCH or his beloved Cougers? Haven't checked the weather for tomorrow .....
  11. Good pics of the game in today's enquirer
  12. Whoever reports from the team to khsaa
  13. Wow.....all good points but had to read it slowly with my glasses to get the full understanding......
  14. Very political answer YC. Well done....
  15. Rained tonight at the JV boys game there.......you could tell the boys that wore their firm ground cleats....slipping and sliding. Mud in front of the goal which made the pk shoot out tough for the keepers. Still in decent shape, but probably the worse it has been in 5 years.......and yet, could still be the best of the grass fields (haven't seen Scott's field this year)
  16. So the Camels are "underachieving" this year ?
  17. CCH defeats St. Henry on PKs......1-0 Rainy, Blustery day to play.....both had chances. ....and a correction to my previous post.......I was rooting for St. H #23 to score and he did see some time......
  18. I'm glad you clarified that meaning before the moderator stepped in......
  19. can't disagree, but for team cohesiveness, I'm holding off naming individuals....but would name all :isurrender:
  20. I did this on the boys side, so......based of 9/27 Maher rankings which take it up to 150 in state......Maher rating / Name....agree/disagree? Why? 7 Newport Central Catholic 9 Notre Dame 10 Highlands 21 Simon Kenton 30 St. Henry 31 Boone County 32 Campbell County 36 Ryle 45 Bishop Brossart 51 Dixie 58 Conner 73 Holy Cross 74 Scott 76 Cooper 84 Villa Madonna 96 Beechwood 103 Walton Verona 107 Pendleton County 130 Calvary Christian 147 Covington Latin Sorry everyone else.....Maher only goes to 150.
  21. I went ahead and pulled the NKY teams from the 9/27 Maher Boys rankings.... Here is the order with the Maher state wide ranking (up to 150).....agree/disagree......why? 6 CovCath 16 Ryle 19 Bishop Brossart 25 St. Henry 30 Scott 31 Highlands 42 Newport Central Catholic 43 Conner 49 Cooper 56 Campbell County 60 Simon Kenton 63 Dixie 70 Boone County 76 Holy Cross 84 Walton Verona 108 Calvary Christian 117 Villa Madona 127 Pendleton County 135 Beechwood 145 Holmes NR Covington Latin
  22. How was the tunnel and snack :thumb:
  23. My only comment about individual players is to apologize for a mispelling of a name in the earlier post......Theiman instead of Thaemann...... Sorry #10....
