Cov Cath wins 2-0 this time.

Terrible at predicting scores so not going to do it, but CovCath isn't looking to Summit yet....they still have the senior laden Conner on Monday night at 7:30 at Conner.

 

Could this be the one that brings the elusive Clyde out to a game? Does he root for CCH or his beloved Cougers? Haven't checked the weather for tomorrow .....

Not a lot of rest before this game, So I'm changing score to Cov Cath still wins but now 2-1. Summit is a small school and won't be able to compete with Cov Cath's depth.

Depth will have little to nothing to do with the outcome. The impact players and/or defensive mistakes will make the difference. Both teams have a good core of players with one or two impact players on both sides.

Depth should not come into play, by now, most teams should be pretty set with a 14-16 person rotation.

 

Summit might be the one team that CCH plays this season that actually has an advantage in the midfield. I would love to be able to attend this match, I think it will be a good one.

Should be a good game. Both lost by 1 to Elder. Summit is currently ranked a good 20 spots higher than Elder in Ohio Maher. Summit's only other losses to out-of-state St Benedicts Prep (NJ) and Penn Charter. St. Benedicts is currently NSCAA #1 ranked high school team in country. CCH depth doesn't put Summit under, but does mitigate concerns about having played Conner last night. CCH 2-1.

I think Summit returned four midfielders from last year's team that lost in Ohio state semi-finals? Still hard to believe they are stronger than CCH.

I see the matchup in the middle portion of the field as being very close, no big advantage for either side, this will come down to who plays better tonight. I gave the slight edge to Summit because I think they have an advantage with their outside midfielders, the center is a toss up.

 

I do not think that Summit is as strong as CCH up top, or on defense.

My understanding is that Summit is still a young team. They only lost 1 starting senior from the team that made it to the Ohio State semis last year, but he was the kid that scored most of their goals. They will be a good team, no doubt, but, I think, and someone correct me, their midfield a bunch sophomores and maybe a Jr thrown in. Is that correct? If so, I think our more senior team has the advantage. Then CCH being strong on Defense, should give CCH the win.

Enough with the sandbagging already. We all know Summit is a very good team and this will be a very challenging matchup for CCH. Other than Elder, this is probably the best team they've seen this year. If the Colonels don't come to play, they will exit with a loss but this game is meant to prep them for other things so I'm looking forward to a good match.
