Quite the understatement. I look for Boyle Co to totally thrash HHS at home. They won't be holding any punches come next week. I still think HHS loses this week at Ryle. Sr night festivities and HHS coming to town. Super Bowl. Nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Ryle! Highlands once again just isn’t very good. 24-10 is my final. I was told last week from someone who attended the game to expect the same slow undisciplined Highlands Football that we have seen for the last 3-4 years. The only difference now is you get to see some of kids be enabled by their Seniority on both sides of the ball playing both ways and not just one. Maybe 3-6 with a 1st round loss at Home. At least the School cashes in on a Playoff round. 3-7 Record. Is it Jan 1st yet?

Maybe when the 9th was "Up", Highlands was just down. It happens. Love how this team plays and with all Kids that are willing to put the work in. It shows. The only shot at CovCath is a neutral court with non 9th officials calling the shots. Maybe then maybe the game will be kept under control. I heard Sat afternoon was a disaster. Whoever gets the 9th Region tourney call has their hands full. CovCath is good and has a very physical team.

NCC is starting to Click. They will be a hard out come Tournament time.

You do that.:lol2:I'm just saying what some people are scared to say in little old Ft Thomas. I'm not really a huge Girls basketball follower but enjoy when all Sports are doing well at a school they follow. Don't we all? Hard to believe Highlands couldn't win and win big with the likes of Tara Booth back in the day. Didn't she go to Xavier and become one of the greatest to play at X? Sure Highlands won but in all perspective not like they should have a couple of those years with the players they had. A couple of trips to the sweet 16 in helps with everything.

Agree but I thought Kevin Listerman couldn't get it done? If you read some of the former player's parents social media rants, you would think he was a Criminal. Maybe their kids just eventually got outplayed or outworked by a younger player. It happens.

Right on. Sam Vinson is turning some heads. It's not often that a school comes to watch you play and offers you on the spot. At least not at Highlands it doesn't. Furthermore not in Basketball.

Also without a Regional title in that 20 year tenure with some pretty good Squads. That shows you the complacency that Highlands is with that particular sport. It's okay just to be just okay.

This sums up a lot. BW needs to remember one thing. By being more involved and letting others get involved that are and were willing to help the situation doesn't change the end outcome. It will still say Brian Weinrich as the Head Coach of Highlands High School. Not anybody else. Well for now it does. He has snubbed several successful coaches the past 2 to 3 years that were willing to help him get the program back on track just for the love of the program not anything else. BW decided to choose another path. His way. Some will say what's wrong with that? It is his program. And that's why he will own his own legacy as Coach in Ft Thomas. Nothing more and nothing less.

Good point but every team that Dale had didn't always have elite level talent. 2002,2003 & 2008 come to mind to me. Good but not great. Those teams were good but they weren't that much better than the teams of late. Where was their talent and how were they able to sustain the level of excellence that was expected of them? They figured out how just fine how to get things done. Why now?

Just watched the replay on the Highlands Youtube channel and man they are Fun to watch. I want to catch them in person sometime. Love the Vinson kids play.

Yep and Dale played the best players regardless of their Class. HHS has lost some kids to either other schools or the lack of just not wasting their time with the current level of the Football program standards. Sorry but the Hergott and Shear kid both who also were QB's make a difference on the teams in their respective years.

Cooper Schwalbach was a Senior this past year. He has a younger brother that will be a Senior this coming year but plays Linebacker only. So Buten only.
