Congratulations to him and the Bomber community. Great honor for him and the school. I however still do not understand people on the Ohio board. They are bashing him for being the USA coach. One person going as far as to say he would root against Team USA. I do not get it. This should be a great thing for Ohio football as a whole, but it seems some people just can't take off their blinders.

I'll never predict a blowout against the Xavierian Menace. Rocks 31 X 14 But I'd be thrilled to see 70-0 ;-)

Nice tough game tonight. Cathedral had some problems catching the ball tonight. Was pretty impressed with #4 on their defense. Playing safety...heard he was headed to ND. Anyone know about him?

I don't know if I'd consider it a moral victory because they essentially lost cause of 2 blocked XP. They should have won...more of a missed opportunity IMO

I agree. You won't find a bigger supporter of him than me. Just stating some observations from the game. Wouldn't trade him for any QB in the state.

This was the first time all year that Wright faced some serious pressure. It did seem to have hurt his accuracy. He was not as sharp as he usually was. Couple overthrown balls and some poorly placed balls that could have led to some big gains if right on the money.

I know you do...I've read your post long enough to be aware of your knowledge of the game. I was just covering my butt in case someone not knowing desided to tell the KHSAA that all the Rocks have been on drugs.

I did expect Hundley to have a better game. Not the 200yds like he did last year, but better than how he performed. That is more a compliment to the defense than a knock on him. He is a top notch back who'd I'd love to see in T's backfield. Secondary did not get tested too much tonight. I expect Cathedral and their big QB to provide more of a test downfield. And to clear up any confusion for those that don't know...LSD means Long Slow Drive...I first heard Coverdale use it against Tates Creek in 2001. :taz:

The one against White was more out of confusion. RB wasn't sure if he was down and he kinda acted like he was going to keep going, so White hit him. I think it should have been overturned once the refs talked, but it was not a bad call against Trinity.

Just from watching the game online, I thought there were some questionable calls, but that is par for any game. I really don't think there was too much of a bias from the refs. After the horsecollar tackle on T to begin the half I don't think there was another called against T. X is going to get (or not get called for) calls at home, as will every team. I think it was pretty fairly officiated. That one with Quick, the ball looked to be well past him when contact was made.

I was really surprised with how well Trinity controlled the ball. Since the quick strike did not appear to be happening the LSD's worked really well. Still some missed opportunities out there. X was extremely good. Very fast on the defensive side of the ball.

I just don't see the point in the prevent defense. X gets the ball back here, now while not likely, they could still pull this game out.

Trinity needs to get out of this prevent defense. Just play normal.

On the other board in Ohio those people are just bashing X. Calling for Spetch's(sp?) job.
