Don't know. But I will say this - last season was state or bust for CC. Much like NCC, they are graduating a lot of talent and don't have much coming up in the pipeline. Good time to get out. BBHS will win the region this fall.

Wow - where to start? Club VB, like select soccer, has many levels. Just playing club VB doesn't mean you are the best. In 14's-18's "Open" is the highest level you can play. Some local clubs playing at that level are Elevation, Cincy Classics, Team Z, NKYVC. All of those clubs may also have additional teams in the same age group competing at lower levels, and there are several other local clubs that compete at lower levels. So you need to find the level of team you want to watch, and then find the age group - 14's are 8th graders, 18's are Seniors. All of the clubs have web sites with rosters so it's easy to find a player. There's no local tourney where everyone plays under one roof. Those are in Louisville, Columbus, St. Louis, Baltimore, Atlanta. There's a big one at Freedom Hall in Louisville this weekend. You just missed the Dayton tourney a couple weeks ago. NKJV has their Aces Challenge coming up in April - but the different age groups will be spread out across different NKY venues, so you have to pick an age group to watch. I'm going to assume you are looking for NDA players to watch? There's 5 outgoing Seniors on NKYVC's 18-1's team + Jayden Julian from Holy Cross. That's a lot of talent.

How so? Last year's team won the 9th - brighter than that? NCC lost 4 more seniors. Who's NDA losing? NCC is going to have trouble getting past Brossart the next 2-3 years.

Agreed. For everyone who believes this game is going to ruin future girls' basketball attendance (and there's been a lot of that opinion the last 14 pages) look at the picture. Not exactly SRO. U can't break something that's already broken. I watched the Ryle/NDA showdown online 2 weeks ago and couldn't believe all the empty seats.

Fortunately, getting my fill of volleyball with club ball. Only 6 months to go before a return to the sunbaked NKY gyms for school ball. May have to poke my head into BOKC this weekend to see what all the fuss is about.

Then Volleyball it is . . . U can't stall in Volleyball, both teams have an equal chance to win each point, you compete head to head with each other, not against the clock. There's more drama, excitement, and hold-your-breath moments throughout the entire match than there is during a girls basketball game. I'm sure you and others who have been to both would agree - it's more fun to watch NDA/St. Henry/NCC/Ryle etc go head to head in volleyball than basketball.

You think NDA players have a problem with winning and advancing? Values learned last night - 1. The goals and needs of the team outweigh your individual needs 2. You have to be able to adapt, change and overcome as a team 3. A true champion finds a way to win under any circumstance.

So if HHS had won, their win wouldn't be "legit"? Make sure you tell the NDA players that their win last night wasn't "legit".

They did. They put the team first and executed their best strategy to win. Didn't care about seniors last game or individual scoring averages. The team wins, you win. A lot of people on here don't seem to get that. By all accounts the plan darn near worked. Again with the attendance thing? Would a 20+ point blowout been more enjoyable to watch?

Since when are HS players and coaches responsible for putting butts in the seats? Coaches want to win, coaches get paid to win. They'll do whatever they think is right to win. They could care less if you show up.

Obviously, kids can go to whatever HS they want to. We're only talking about kids playing on a HS team while in grade school.

This isn't a public v private debate. It's about NCC having a "playbook" on how to get around the feeder school rules, and families being disingenious when joining a parish. There is a defined feeder school pattern - follow it. If you know your kid is going to NCC, they should attend an NCC feeder school. Allowing familes to become members of only 1 parish would end most of this. Go add up the players on NCC's sports teams that didn't go to a feeder school to see why they don't want it stopped. The latest ACT averages from the Diocese last fall had BBHS way ahead of NCC.
