  1. Christian does not have that D1 talent that had last year in Tandy or Hickey that's apparent. Lossing their all state Dlinemen in practice was a big blow. In all honesty County is a year ahead of schedule. Replacing all 11 starters on offense and 8 on defense made most colonels fans thinking rebuilding year. This team is very young starting a freshmen along with around 5/6 sophomores is unheard of in recent memory. Some feel that the colonels have faded since their road wins over Henderson, Madisonville and Lone Oak. Typical nagging injuries have kept many starters out and it has shown. Coach Lovelace has said this is one of his favorite team he's coached. They will battle and are very unselfish. He kept some starters out the last couple of weeks to get healthy for the playoffs. WC is a very good team. I think they are better than last year due to the maturity of their QB. They also have 3 backs who can score anywhere on the field against most teams. Defense is stingy but have given up some points due to the fact they are also very young. WC offense is what its scary good. Unlike many wing-t teams they attack downhill with speed. Saying all this I feel like the colonels will still win this game. Should be a fun game to watch.

  3. Good game for the Colonels.. Nice to have most everybody back for the playoffs. Really like 32 for the Trojans good player. Now time to get ready for Warren Central.
  4. Wow that had to be a pitiful feeling at halftime for Graves to play so close but essentially out of the game. Good job WC and see you next week at Christian.

  6. Don't know if these are the best back ever but here are some of the best I've seen in person: 1) Al Baker- In high school he weighed over 240 and ran the 100m under 11 flat. 2) Mark Higgs-Quick i mean quick with great balance. Played in the NFL for 7/8 seasons. 3) Thomas- Played for Paducah in the early 80's went on to start for Arkansaw. Seem like he could jump for a first down. 4) Artose Pinner- Fast with power and agility. 5) ? kid from Fort Campbell in the early 80's He was about 5'7 and was the fasterst RB I saw. Can't think of his name off hand. 6) Joe Cassey- Crazy talent with speed did lack some agility.

  8. This is going to be a very telling game. Graves is a tuff nose team who plays solid defense. WC is playing very good on the offensive side of the ball this year. Defense is stingy but does give up some points. Graves will have to score 4 TD's or more to win this game. Tuff task. One of Graves best defensive players has not played since the Christian County game. If he plays that would help he can pentrate the line with the best of em. Either way this will be a physical game. Just think WC has more team speed and make bigger plays. WC-34 Graves-14
  9. Congradulations to SW. Christian was sleepwalking. Yes several starters did not play 2 leading rushers who also start on both sides of the ball. Had to use the 4th string QB cause of some issues. 2nd string QB who plays alot and best playmaker has a pulled hamstring. 3rd qb is one of the backs who did not play. SW wanted it more and it showed. Hopefully for Christian sake they can learn from this and regroup. Good luck to SW the rest of the way. You wooped us pretty good.

  11. Hard to get a feel for Franklin.. They have scored a bunch of points but has given up some points to against average competition. Don't think they have face any real speed like BG or John Hardin.

  14. favorites: BG & John Hardin Contenders: WC & Harlan Dark Horses: Christian & Franklin BG has the hardest road with WC or Christian then most likely John Hardin. WC will have a test in the first round with a improving Graves team then on the road to Christian. John Hardin won't get test untill the semis. There just that much better than anybody else in 5A up north. Franklin has been putting up crazy numbers all season just don't know much about em. Friends tell me their very good at what they do. Harlan get's better with the cold weather to me it fit's their system.. 5 yards and cloud of dust. Those two chould be a great match-up. If I had to pick who goes to Bowling Green to me it's BG vs Harlan but there are several team who on a given night might....
  15. Jones was not the head coach when Pulley played. He took over the following year and made it to the Regional Finials twice lossing both times to BG. Last time Hoptown was competitive was in 2008 when they won 7 games and lost by 6 points to Christian County in the 2nd Round who went on to the State Championship. Since the 2008 season they have won a grand total of 6 games.

  18. BG by 21/28 points. Behind Trinty and Highlands BG is the 3rd best team in the state. They seem to be more balance than in years past.
  19. WC by 21. To much speed for Pulaski to handle. Good luck Dragons hope you guys play well.
  20. Should be a tuff game but I do like Christian County changes in this one. Long bus ride(3 hours or so) should not matter much to the Colonels who enjoy playing on the road. If the Colonels can pull out a win it would be the first time in school's history they finish the regular season without a loss. Hope both of the WKY schools make a good show in this bowl double hitter.
