I think he’s going to be that good at some point. And, by that good, I mean essentially seen as an “unstoppable player”. He has an ability to really score the ball. I just don’t know if it’ll be this year, next year, or senior year. Kid is talented! And, solid seniors, yes. And talented Sophomores, yes. But, they will go as Draud goes, imo.

Not fishing at all. I assume that could have been taken out of context. I just found it odd that people were talking about the happiness of the players, and Harding’s potential playing time. However, according to those stats, it seems all played well together. Glad to hear it. Talented group.

What makes you so sure? When you have a player like Draud, who can at times be "unstoppable" scoring the ball, don't they have a chance to at least "hang"?

Ludlow's coach has the same fearlessness as Villa Madonna's coach. Admirable. Jalen Scott could be a stud this year. I heard he had a great aau summer.

Was everyone happy with Harding's performance/playing time? Any on court issues? I know these things were discussed in another thread.

Scott wins by double digits. They just have too much for PC in a few positions, and Fromeyer will have his defense ready to corral DA as much as possible, which isn't much

Both blew out bad teams, but LexCath played the better of the two teams blown out. That said, CovCath by double digits. It’s close to home, and the community will be fired up. Plus, the state is soon to find out about Disken & Green. CCH has too much, imo.

That’s two big time blowouts by Beechwood. Anyone seeing these games? Competition level down, or is Beechwood a legit threat in the 9th?

Villa is a D3 conference school, correct? I applaud their coach for being willing to play these games. I’m not sure what good it does for either team, but that man isn’t afraid and he coaches his kids. Kudos to him.

Very true on the comment about scoring 98. With that said, GRC got it handed to them in the scrimmage against Trinity. Didn't come anywhere near 98. I know its a scrimmage, but GRC is supposed to be a state contender this year, and if I know Cook, he wanted to win that game.

What a great first game of the season. I think I like GRC in this specific game, but i'll take the Camels by the end of the year.

I don’t know the exact situation. But, I am of firm belief that Highlands doesn’t have 8 players distinctly better than Macke. Especially considering the large number of guys that played last season in each game, 9-10-maybe 11, in some games. Not blaming the staff or anything Of that nature. Just saying, I’m of the frame of mind that Macke wasn’t going to play their for some reason outside of basketball performance.

For a HS team, to me, “headed in the right direction” means getting the community excited about the program again. They may have varsity experienced players, but the talent level isn’t there with that varsity level experience. Good news is, I think Kirk can help them. I believe Kirk is the kind of coach that can get the most out of the talent he has, which is all anyone can ask for. He did it at Augusta. It’s one game. And, one season. Give this staff time to implement the system and build the culture.

I don’t believe the Highlands situation was solely based on play performance and production. Macke is good enough to play for Highlands. Not saying he’d be a star, but he IS good enough to play there.

Every game and every team has "questionable calls". If Gallatin or Holmes had won by 20, no one says a word.

Rusch definitely would. This young man can play, regardless of competition level. Im not as sure on Macke, solely because I haven't seen him enough to say he'd start on "most" 10th region teams... that may be a possibility.

Word on here was he scored 32 against PC in a scrimmage. I’d say all were happy with that... coach/players included.

In this situation, I agree with you. MR can play and he has good skill and leadership ability. However, scoring can’t be the sole descriptor of a top player in the region. I know kids who have left bigger schools and gone to smaller schools just to get more touches and more points.
