Hmmm... I thought they had a junior/senior this year that was a thicker kid, not real tall, but plays hard, rebounds, and can shoot it a little bit. Maybe I’m wrong.

It doesn’t make sense to say that they aren’t playing because of the records of the past. If they were that good, and the kids were competitors, they would understand that if they played the record would be better. Silly to say they aren’t playing because record. You can’t make a kid play, and if you do, you won’t get his best. Silly to only blame players, and silly to only blame coaches. Let’s just be honest, Ryle hasn’t had the talent of a Coleman, McLeish, Stauffer, Perkins, Vollett, etc. all playing together in the same years since 2010-2011. This is evidenced by the Gray MS program which hasn’t been nearly as successful recently either.

So that makes a team #1? Why aren’t they? What are they missing?

Should be a good game. Who is the bigger kid that plays, but can also hit the outside shot? Junior or senior. Been around Holmes for what seems like forever.

Do they appear to be arguing & fighting with each other on the court?

I can not imagine a group of coaches not playing really talented juniors and seniors that can win for the sake of freshman and sophomores.

So, the parents are mad at the kids for not wanting to play?? Or, are parents just blaming the coaches as if players dont hit shots, get rebounds, play defense, talk on the court, play aggressive, etc.??

I keep hearing about all the talent this Newport team has... but no one mentions them with the top 2 teams in the region... can they compete with Cooper & CCH or not?

Does CC have any depth? Or, will they mainly rely on the starters?

Yes. That's him. Nice player. Tough kid, and can shoot it. Seemingly and high Bball IQ too.

Where does Holmes rank in it's district?

Will Holmes be able to compete with Beechwood and Holy Cross in that district? (Assuming that CCH will be hard for any of the 3 to handle)

Any word on Ryle v. Pick Central in this event?

Yes, a lot of pressure on Ryle here. But, if you have one of the best players in the state, it'll be fun to watch how far she can carry them. I know that she isn't the only player by any stretch, but it is her team. Opponents will be looking to knock them off, and playing with a little something extra with Scherr on the roster, and the number 1 ranking.

I believe Walton has 2 kids that size, or close to it. One is a D1 talent... Miles, who will be attending Xavier. The Guthrie twins should lead the way for Mayfield. I kept hearing last year that this was "their year." But, I think the juniors have probably matured and they are the favorite. Lets see if they can get it done in the 1st.

What was the reasoning for the CC coach leaving? I know he loved Rusch, and was touting him as a future D1 player.
