I'm not sure if Lorenzen is playing basketball or not, but If I'm not mistaken Highlands will return their entire starting 5 and will easily be a top 5 team in my opinion. As far as the "gap" between top teams after Cov. Cath time will tell it's October. A lot can happen between now and March. I do agree that Holy Cross will be really good. Ryle will have to replace 23 ppg Landon Lorms. Looking forward to the new season!

The injury was very unfortunate for Jack Sullivan. Great kid and was having an outstanding senior season. Holy Cross has been dealing with injuries as well so it will all depend on those. Nate Rominger and Luke Arlinghaus have both been out the last 4-5 games but Arlinghaus returned vs St. Henry last week playing about 15 minutes. I would assume both try to play. All that being said the Sullivan loss is big for Beechwood. Add in the home court advantage for the Tigers. I think this game is close throughout and comes down to the last few minutes. Which players can make the big plays to help their team win. Coin flip game and one I hope my Indians can win on the road. Crazy game in Latonia. Highlands was on fire early on racing out to a 15-0 lead before Holy Cross scored a basket. Indians would battle back and close the first quarter only trailing by 4 at 19-15. It was a pretty even 2nd quarter Highlands led 36-31 at half. Holy Cross opened the 3rd quarter scoring the first 9 points and took a 40-36 lead. It was their first lead of the night at 37-36. The game would be close the rest of the way with Holy Cross hanging on late for a 6-point win. Indians got big games from Senior William McElheney who had a game-high 22 points. Junior Aidan Urlage had 12 (4/4 from 3) and Senior Gavin Goetz had 12. Freshman Amir Henderson got his first varsity minutes and had 7 points.
