Holy Cross will play at Hoosier Gym on Saturday in a boy/girl DH vs Walton Verona at 4:00 & 6:00.

I probably should have said the Ryle game is most likely to be cancelled after playing the 4 games in the All A. That was my fault. We have all been in Richmond for the last 5 days so obviously had other things on our minds. I don't want to guess which other ones as I have not heard yet but the NCC game could be as well I'm not sure.

Holy Cross at Ryle has been cancelled. With the deep run in the All "A" they will need to cancel a few games. They are 21-5 so can only play 4 more.

Holy Cross with a tremendous defensive effort today holding a very good Pikeville team to just 11 points in the first half and 32 for the game. The Indians were led by Senior Aleah Arlinghaus with 14 points. Junior Julia Hunt added 9 points, 16 rebounds and 5 block shots. Pikeville's leading scorer Trinity Rowe was held to just 8 points on 3-14 shooting. They were led by Kristen Whited with 10 points. This should be a fun one to call. Holy Cross (14-5) will play Hazard (18-2) in the quarter finals of the 2023 All "A" State Tournament tonight at 8:00 pm. The Indians beat Danville in the opening round 72-56 behind 37 points and 15 rebounds from Jacob Meyer. Javier Ward added 18 points. The Bulldogs knocked out Bishop Brossart 68-62 first round behind a strong first-half showing. Max Johnson led them with 17 points. Jamal Hazel added 16. Hazard will enter the game on a 15-game winning streak while Holy Cross has won 7 straight. Holy Cross Radio will be on the live call starting at approx 7:45 pm. This game will begin the evening session on Thursday and starts at 5:00 pm. Holy Cross (17-5) will play Leslie County (13-5) tomorrow morning at 8:30 am in the All "A" State Tournament at Eastern Ky University. The Indians are coming off district wins last week over Beechwood, Holmes and Notre Dame and have won 7 of their last 8 games. Leslie County is coming off a loss to Harlan County but had won their previous 4 games. Should be a good opening round game.
